I've upset the anti 5G cult. (AFG cult)

New video currently uploading.  A USB rechargeable incense burner.  Much more complicated than I was expecting.

Meanwhile I'm now getting around 1000 emails a day as requests to join random mailing lists.

No great deal as I can filter them quickly, but the AFG kiddies are really spitting the dummy out.

I had to disable comments on that video for the same reason.  Mass comment bombing with the same links to their cult leaders authorised media.

Meanwhile it turns out that an increasing number of telecommunication engineers are getting targeted with abuse and threats of violence.  It seems some people need their right to modern telecommunications and Internet access revoked.

Comments

I see it is getting worse - as you predicted we have advanced to death threats, apparently: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-52395771 Also our Gatesheadian friend has made another vid taking a pop at you, and another where he indicated that O2 is in fact a pretend network - they actually exist to suck O2 out of the air. Not sure if he is a buffoon or knows full well what he is doing.

I wish I was shocked by that

I usually just place my TV dinner next to my Wi-Fi router. It works in the microwave spectrum, so surely it should be able to nuke my dinner.

There are numerous comments, on the internal social media used by Openreach, of colleagues of mine being verbally attacked and a few threats of physical attacks. Those people would be the same ones complaining that their broadband connection, either via land-line or mobile phone, stops working. The mobile phone mast at one of the Nightingale hospitals has been vandalised. Luckily the emergency fibre optic connections installed meant that the hospital maintained connectivity. There have even been radio masts that are used by the emergency services being vandalised. It seems that SARS-COV-2 doesn't just cause respiratory issues but kills off the brain cells of some of the population.

It's amazing - my local Facebook group is full of mad old women going on about 5G masts popping up everywhere. I.E. the 4g masts that have been there for years, that they're just noticing now as they're going out for their one period of daily exercise. I've renamed my guest Wifi as 5GTEST.

I just made dinner.... might have left it a bit too long in the oven... I blame 5G!

Mikey

I'm aware of that and used very careful filtering.

Big Clive

Perhaps one of the those guys found http:// mailbait. info/

Andreas Dorfer

i like the ESD inspired beard style!

Andreas Dorfer

@Clive please be aware that subscription bombing can be a cover-up operation for identity theft! Stay alert! https://blog.goptg.com/60000-new-emails-this-is-what-happens-when-your-inbox-gets-subscription-bombed

Andreas Dorfer

there is no cure against idiocy...

Andreas Dorfer

Hang in there Clive.

CasualKitty

It sounds worse then the time Morty messed with the squirrels! Stay safe Clive.

Aaron Nadler

Oh Clive you know it's just your magnetic personality. ...and your electrostatic wit! ...and your ESD-inspired hair style! ;D

Michael Thompson

I think you spelt "cult" wrong. I don't know what is wrong with these people - a certain Gateshead resident makes videos where he clearly has no idea what he is looking at and claims it is a weapon system (My favourite being "Look - that chip even has ARM written on it, so it must be an armament"). And people believe him.

Hacked Off have a good article on COVID-19 and false 5G conspiracy including how the media have handled it. https://hackinginquiry.org/covid19conspiracy/

John Russell

It always amuses me, thin tin foil heads don’t give a damm about the 6/7MW coming out of Crystal Palace but worry about 1W or less from a 5G mast... And there is no point a base station being more powerful that a handset as the conversation would only one way ... sigh

Graham Eida

I believe the correct legal term is culpable manslaughter.

Big Clive

Oh my God, the world inventing better idiots....I know it shouldn't be. But this is STILL SURPRISING!

Hence revoking their ironic access to those technologies. I mean, if they don't like the tech, why be a massive hypocrite about it? Upside is, revoking their use of it has the end result of them being a lot quieter about it. :D

Please this. ☢️Always use multiple alert paths for this. Especially if you don’t change account information often

Cerity

Wait until you hear about the experts dismissing the vaccine that doesn’t exist yet for COVID-19

Cerity

Can’t fix stupid. People have proven time and again propensity for admitting they were wrong decreases with evidence. Idiocracy was not supposed to be a documentary 😭 Clive keep fighting the good fight but please stay safe

Cerity

I still think it's worth trying another video titled like "Forget 5G, let's discuss indoor radiation proven to cause cancer" and cover Radon gas. Radon causes alpha radiation and there are plenty of scientific articles available to quote including death rates vs indoor radon concentration (which you'll not find for 5G), so it may help distract some from 5G.

Seán Byrne

If you destroy a cell tower and most of them are used by the emergency services and people calling the emergency services you should be jailed for murder or attempted murder.

Jamie

Got my amateur radio licence in '91. Back then, these eejits were all saying that high tension powerlines caused lukemia, and so did domestic line transformers. Then along came wifi and that caused cancer. Then 3G caused the swine flu. Then 4G caused SARS and MERS. Now 5G causes SARS2. It's such an old trope at this point that it's surprising it's still going.

Mark Dennehy

The correct spelling is Bilderberg. The name of a Hotel in the Netherlands where the first conference was hosted in 1954.

Frank

I guess it makes way for people to make money out of it by depressing stocks and shares or make useless things like this https://www.amazon.com/5G-Cellphones-Anti-Radiation-Frequencies-Accelerator/dp/B07W5RJNCZ I am surprised they don't sell a solid  Mu-metal {block magnets but not radio}   case or something that BLOCKS off all communication and renders the phone useless.  In the early 1990s I used to put my phone in my shirt pocket, I was on the Orange network, a Nokia phone back then lasted nearly all day on just one charge. 1998 I developed Atrial fibrillation and had a stroke - I bet it was caused by too much strong coffee, alcohol, lack of sleep and junk food while working on a thankless task of developing software for a Big Telephone company. *and not the phone* John

John Harrison

I suspect there are some real troll groups out there that generate these topics for fun, enlist a bunch of useful idiots, and then let it out into the public as a huge laugh.... useful idiots attract other useful idiots, and next minute they have a life of their own. Flat earthers were the first to make me suspect this....

Lucas Illingworth

Am I alone in finding it ironic that the perpetrators are probably using the mobile networks to plan their criminal damage and mail-bomb / comment-bomb people like Clive?

Right, but how best to monetize? No sense in having a cult worshipping you if you don't have access to their money.

We have a massive growing problem of willful ignorance and anti-science groups gaining power. Anti-vax, flat earth etc, not sure what is going to change that. Maybe a pandemic...wait...

These are strange times indeed - some people apparently want to go out of their way to destroy stuff. Whether that be '5G' masts or war graves (yes, that's happened). There's no reasoning with these people.

Mark Gray

Perhaps a bit unfair on the Luddites, comparing them with the AFG cult. Jobs being replaced by machines was, at least, a valid concern. I reckon the AFG cult are somewhat sub-Luddite.

1. Select a target and invent a conspiracy. 2. Come up with a bunch of pseudoscientific claptrap to support your claim. 3. Find a bunch of credulous fools. 4. Tell them that anyone that contradicts (1&2) is part of the conspiracy. 5. Congratulations, you have a cult. It worked for Anti-vax, anti-GMO, fake moon landing, flat earth and chemtrails. It's now working for AFG.

Dave Davies

The point being that 5G is not more ore less safe or unsafe then 4G, 3G or 2G. Because of improved technology like better low noise amplifiers, more advanced filters and more computing power for running algorithms you might be able to say that 5G is wasting less energy then previous generations and wasting less energy should be considered good!

Frank

Lol! And that's how this whole 5G nonsense looks to anyone with any common sense. I imagined deadly heat rays coming out of bath taps, and hundreds of people believing that it could actually happen. The human race can be gobsmackingly worrying sometimes.

Brendan Perkins

5G is not yet installed. They set fire to 2G, 3G and 4G sites. Plain stupid. They should all go to jail for terrorism.

Frank

Winzip causes cystitis.

When I was younger and had more free time 'baiting' was the sport of choice. The quarry being 419 scammers, the objective to keep them busy by diversion, thereby reducing the harm they caused whilst deriving some entertainment value. If I were younger and still had some free time it might occur to me that herein lies an opportunity.

The Tinkering Shed

BEWARE Clive, a geek friend had a similar bombing of email because of mass mailing list sign up but it was used to try and mask actual email alerts about password resets and email address changes as they tried to hijack her accounts. Luckily she spotted them in time.

Charleso

I suspect that most of these people are not idiots, they are scared and have little faith that their governments are being honest, and they do have history on their side. It's very unlikely that history will eventually say that the technology was proven 100% safe. In the 1930's doctors actively promoted smoking as being good for you, in the 1950's the drug Thalidomide was the next best thing for pregnant women, and in the 2000's we were told to buy diesel cars as they were better than petrol for the environment. All this information came from people who had something to gain. When everybody starts saying something is wonderful and brilliant it's only natural that some people will step back and ask "why" is everybody promoting this as the next best thing, what's the down side. There's usually a down side to most things. Do I think 5G is safe... yes... would I want a 5G base station located on my house... no. Would I want any mobile base station on my house... no.

What about the first Covids? 1-8... no one is talking about them!!!!!!!!

Ryan Coleman

It seem to irland the uk and the holland where the put fires on 5G mast and sometimes the take 4G down because they don’tnow the wich is wich.

Maybe there's a way to convince them that using the internet fries their brain or something... (then again, this probably already happened...)

Leak

don't blame ye for disabling the comments... 'You Can't Argue With STupID', comes to mind... brain dead fucking idiots with no rhyme or reason

Julian Butler

Or at least until the forests get replaced with parking lots.

Michael Gilchrest

i encourage all my brothers concerned about the dangers of the 5gs to move to the South American rain forests of brazil and peacefully live forever.

Michael Gilchrest

A friend of ours was.. possibly still a 5G nut job. The dangerous 5G was her latest conspiracy. She is a slush, so I think she briefly forgot I was into electronics, so after her soapbox about the dangers of 5G, I was completely amazed she let explain to her the truth, with her eyes glazed over and mouth half hanging open, I'm not sure if she believed me or realize how stupid the crap she was saying..

Cleveland Prescott

We used to think humanity was in a sorry state. Now we're finding that it's much worse than we ever imagined. Stay safe

Nani Isobel

They actually go into the strongest source of EM radiation (the sun) and lie in it, getting burned while they press their phone to the side of their head.

Big Clive

It was masking the real technical comments. I read every comment that is posted and the comment-bombing took a lot of time to clean up. I may re-enable them when the thrill is over.

Big Clive

Stay strong Clive, we believe in you!

Coil B

Since the start of the Covid-9 Pandemic, I've learned so much about my neighbors, and it's not pretty....

It's a real shame that human evolution seems to be working in reverse now. I do find it hilarious that these anti-5gers love to ignore the cosmic microwave background radiation that all living things on earth have been exposed to since the beginning of time....

Brooks Andersen

So, is their subbing you to email lists convincing you they are correct? No... well guess their grasp on how to convince someone is as advanced as their knowledge of the electromagnetic spectrum

Glenn Achten

Here in Donegal. some knobs recently burned out a 4G tower that was upgraded to help give better coverage to the nearby hospital. B;oody scum!

John Carr

I'm sorry you've had to bare the brunt of this, even though it is for the good of us all. I hope it doesn't get any worse for you, and I greatly appreciate everything you do to set the record straight.

They’re probably the same people who constantly complain about Netflix buffering issues!

Good on you for upsetting them. I reckon you should leave the comments on though, isn't it supposed to be good for the YouTube algorithm when people post many comments on a video? Helps it get promoted to a wider audience? Would be really interesting to do a followup video too, to point out these tactics that the anti-5G crowd are using as people like me have no idea otherwise.

Berkeloid

If only more people were confident enough to admit when they were wrong, they wouldn't need to do stupid things like this to cover up the fact that they made a mistake in their judgement.

Berkeloid

Holy shit. Stay safe. At least you're on a fairly secluded island that most of these wastes of carbon wouldn't know how to find on a map, much less figure out how to get there.

fluffy

I think it's VERY profitable for the ring leaders. Either for their ego's, wealth or both.

Big Clive

I wonder who's profiting from this...

The 'Revolutionary's' state that if it wasn't for the likes of them, then 'Bilderburg' etc. would never be brought to the public's attention.

Andrew Donaldson

Can we just strip the luddites naked and dump them in some remote section of the Rockies? Including and especially the Luddite-in-Chief.

Paul Ste. Marie

Aw crum! BC, why couldn't you wait until the Wuhan "pandemic" was over? Now we'll never know how it turned out, and whether Trump tries to out-do Johnson by getting the virus and never gets hospitalized (he's tough enough, heck he survived a "heel spur" although sadly, he couldn't serve in the military)

the AFG kiddies are all retarded

God 420

I agree with that statement there, clive. 100%.

NightshadeLenar

That is some craziness.

papercrane, The Cuddledemon

Well, they are burning the towers so for me they are clearly saying that they don't want internet. So just kick them offline.... Fucking doorknobs. You do great work Clive. Carry on :)

Tim Albers

I’d call that a job well done then. Such a shame when people feel threatened by the truth.

The Griffiths Family

This is really starting to sound like a luddite revolution. They're in the "machine breaking" phase now. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luddite
