Not a video (It's still uploading).

Sorry for the lack of output over the last week.  You can probably guess why.  Having now seen the scar I know that it was somewhat more than the keyhole surgery I was expecting.

The video that is currently uploading will be the first since my operation.  It may be a bit abstract.  I've not actually seen it yet.

It's about the LED replacements for the humble Xmas candle bridge lamps.  And it turned out a lot more interesting than I was expecting.  Especially when I deliberately tried to fry a lamp and it failed in an undramatic manner and even stayed lit.  (But wouldn't have lasted long.)

Even better is the way the manufacturer has used exactly the same glass housing as a traditional lamp and simply adapted their manufacturing process to insert a sleeved module into the end of the glass section before it gets glued and terminated in exactly the same way as the old tungsten lamps.

Clive, I hope you're mending well. I tend to binge watch and this is my first time hearing of the surgery. Take it easy man, I'm sure we all can agree the last thing we want you to feel is obligated to make content.

Jerry Gepes

Wishing you a speedy recovery, have a good Christmas

Michael mc349iii

Hope your recovery is Swift and comfortable! Kick back and don't worry about content!

dude don't worry about us, we are staying. Feel better!!

Aaron Nadler

I had just figured it was the periodic ebb and flow of video production and when I saw your new video, I happily watched it. You'll be glad to hear that you didn't seem to miss a beat in the way you presented yourself on the new video. You gave no indication of having just been poked and jabbed and put back together in your demeanor or voice. Mend quickly, friend!

Jeff Groves

Take care of yourself, and get well soon!

I know the feeling. I went in for a single, came home with a double. "Tylenol", they said. Bloody hell! One word of advice: ICE.

"The Yuletide Crows" I think I have their first album. Their Burl Ives mashup is awesome! :D

Clive... take a break. We peatrons aren't going to walk away. The last (third) time they did mine they close the rather large incision with stainless steel staples. it happened on Christmas day exactly 4 years ago now. Great fun... my lucky day as it was a strangulated hernia and they get top priority since if not done quickly.... you are history very quickly. SO... GET WELL AND NO VIDEOS FOR A WHILE.. GO READ A BOOK Mr. Clive.

There's no need to apologise Clive. Look after yourself. Healing takes time. Still getting over some surgery I had 3 years ago. Have a great Christmas and new year.

Here here! (I think there's an echo in here)

Take it easy Clive I've had both keyhole and the cut in the past, it takes a while to recover, I'm surprised you've got a video out. Took me a week to get out of the house after mine. Best wishes for a swift recovery

Tazz1669

Take it easy big guy, I hope Ralfy is over giving you a hand with everything? Anyway, wishing you a speedy recovery and a wonderful Christmas 🎅

umbilical hernia - that was a bit of fun in 2015 a odd results The 3M clear plaster they put on reacted with my skin HELL it was itchy my chemist suggested another brand. Piece of string hanging out of my belly I was going to cut it off but my wife sent me back just for the Doc to use the scissors, it was a 2 man job I pressed my belly and pulled on the string and he cut the base so it disappeared back inside ??? Hope you are on the mend John

John Harrison

Don't push yourself. let that thing heal. We'll still be here.

Bill Kerr

Nothing to apologize for. Feel better. Sit back and enjoy the lights for a while

Good luck! Take good care of the wound! Just had a hip replacement in July—surgery is no fun! Surgical surprises are never a good thing.

Paul Ste. Marie

I'm glad you pulled through! Though it sounds like your surgeons encountered a surprise or two. Hopefully your recovery proceeds swiftly and finds you in tip-top shape soon. (Also, I'm *really* curious about this upcoming video now.)

Guardian Lion

Take your time Clive, plenty of bearded technical tear downs to tide me over till the yuletide crows...

Michael Gilchrest

I had the disc L3/L4 removed from the front and that was fun having 0 core strength and 2 years later I still struggle to lift a full cup of tea so recovery is sometime a very long slow roll down an even longer road. Rome wiznee built in a day so take your time.

My dad had hernia surgery a while ago and spent the entire time in the hospital making dad jokes to the nurses so that's what I'm imagining you did too Clive

Shame Boy

I feel your pain and my prayerful thoughts are on your recovery. I was given a peacrmaker almost 3 years ago, and reality is quite different than the cutters claim. (And no, it didn't make me at all peaceful, though my heart is dancing to a steady beat.)

Its understandable. Your health is more important than a video. Take it easy and take it slow
