Mini plastic desktop fan heater.

I've got to admit that the design of this heater isn't too bad.  It does have a couple of layers of thermal protection, but I'm pretty sure that to be UK compliant it might need a single shot thermal fuse as a last resort.

Other than that, it's not a bad design.  The PTC based heater module looks like a standard component and everything else has been fitted optimally in the case without being too tight.

The fan power supply is also very simple with a bit of filtering for brush and rectifier noise.

At first, sounded like you made a new word. Powerfernailia.

Already had a look at one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7IvYsPYiFA

My wife got me a hand warmer/ battery power bank for Christmas I was shocked at how hot it got might be interesting to take a look at one and how there protecting the cell inside

I think the people who voted to leave were duped into thinking that the EU had anything to do with our asylum policy (wrongly). Oh, and that our National Health Service would be £350M a week better off. Which is hilarious (not)..

Search for any piece of generic Chinese crap, then go to the seller's ebay shop and start rummaging!

"mini heater"

That fan motor looks similar to a cassette recorder motor, which might account for the low voltage?

Michael Thompson

What if I have a peepee instead of a mini, can I still heat it using this?

Surprisingly nicely made. Still, without a one shot thermal fuse and with the live fins on one side that could be reached by a child with a pin it wouldn't pass CE or UL standards. After Brexit I guess that won't matter to you guy. It'll be the standards free Wild West over there, right? That *was* the whole point of Brexit, wasn't it, to be free of pesky regulations?

I hope one day you make a video about how you browse ebay, because I am strangely curious on how you stumble on some of these things.

please give an eBay search words

Well there's an idea for your next video. Was looking at the design of the heating unit and thought of a one hand free device.

I didn't see a specific temperature on it. I think a proper heat gun would probably be more useful.

Big Clive

It depends on who's doing it...

Big Clive

I take it its not a good idea to poke metal objects into the exit grille! IP??

Hi Clive. Was just curious on what is the temperature on the thermal cut off switch rated for. You pique my curiosity when you were testing it on that heat shrink. Wondering if it would be feasible to create an attachment for a heating chamber for doing multiple strands of lite weight heat shrink tubing as you use on your multiple strands of led's.
