I strongly recommend that you keep the devices in your nuclear collection somewhat separated. I put all of mine next to each other on the mantle and came home to find the fireplace had lit itself, along with some other items.

I did toy with that, but it was going to complicate things. I could have added a small pipe to "bubble" the noodle. I did fake it with the geiger counter. Off shot I was holding a thorium mantle at the same distance as the nuclear ration heater.

I genuinely thought you were going to conceal some kind of heating device in the pot noodle so that we could see the heater "working" in real time. Maybe a coil in the bottom of the pot, and an inductive cooker secured under the desk surface.

Tardis MRE - bigger on the inside. Doctor Who would be proud! The Navy beer ration was what we now call 'small beer', i.e. 1-2% ABV, and it was given instead of water as it was a safer option.

Here in Australia MREs have a couple of cans of Fosters and a packet of TimTams. Heating device is any nearby bush fire.

PS - love the heater.

With Burns Night so close I was surprised there was no haggis, or at least a snare so that in a survival situation you could catch one.

I guess it'll have to do until technology can provide the self-heating dehydrated munchy box.

Someone clearly tampered with this pack before sending it to you, the Space Raiders are missing. Funnily enough this pack is very similar to the Tartan Army ration pack, the whisky bottle is just bigger and there's a lot less food in that one ;-)

I wasnt entirely convinced this was a real thing, because I couldnt fathom someone coming up with the idea to use THE POWER OF THE ATOM~ (You cant say that in a normal voice, trust me, I tried) to heat a MRE.
