I hoped this lamp was going to be trash.

I'm still hunting for the elusive bottom of the bucket trash LED filament lamp that uses a simple resistor and rectifier circuit.  I was hoping this was it, but it turned out to be a bit more sophisticated.

The advantage of the circuitry used is consistent intensity even with supply voltage fluctuations.

I made a DIY resistor ballasted filament lamp and it does show significant intensity modulation with ambient load switching in the house as a result of the voltage affecting the current.

I hoped this lamp was going to be trash.

5:18 to 5:20 = FART...good chuckle!

That 1206 cap might be for stability if the current sink is linear. Downstream of a bridge, transient protection is different due to the blocking diodes avalanching; you don't get extreme voltages.

Why not make a 3D printed vacuum cleaner adaptor for your Dremel?

After taking that picture I did try the crystal spikes on the end of the lamp for size and pondered designing a custom crystal cover for it with ventilation channels.

When I saw the thumbnail I thought you were making a lamp from the bits you printed! LOL

Thanks Big Clive!

What 3d printer do you use?

The thumbnail had me thinking you had become a gold investor.

look at this ic L7135 this is great for 1S lithium led lights

look at this ic SM2082C it comes in 3 package stiles

I have never felt the need to STORE chocolate coins... Certainly, by the time the 3D printer had warmed up, the holder would be redundant !

If I had a 3d Printer I would make a better holder for my hearing aid batteries. I have found out the hard way that you have to keep them separated even though the tab has not been removed. (zinc air) So I ruined $30.00 worth of batteries. The retail pack I get them in only holds 8 of them. and is over 60mm in diameter. Being that I travel so much I like to get things compact as much as possible, 3D printing a case about 150mm long and 8mm wide. it could hold about 20 batteries.

Bummer… I really hate it when people send you a good item vs a trash item too!!! ;)
