Very hackable LED pinspot light.
Added 2020-03-10 03:23:56 +0000 UTCThis is another of those items that is functional as supplied, but completely hackable to change the driver, colour and focal length, either for fun or to fit an application.
The heatsink seems to work well at the supplied power rating, even without thermal compound. It's ungrounded, but that's not really a surprise, and fixable if desired.

I did clean the lenses. They were a bit grubby.

2020-03-10 23:06:36 +0000 UTCA side note about projecting the image of the LED die: We use lit magnifier lamps on our work benches, and whenever a new flashlight/torch is purchased is not unusual to see the image being projected up through the big lens and onto the ceiling to see what the die looks like when working.
