Inside the hazer phaser.

I really haven't a clue what the original purpose of this thing is.  It's being sold as yet another repurposed pandemic related thing (a disinfecting fogger), but the heater block means it might not be suited to many disinfectants.

It makes a rather pleasing handheld fog machine though.

Inside is very interesting.  The heater block is not like the usual cheap fog machines.  It seems to be made to a much higher quality.

I think this need gutting and modifying into a woofler gun...

Sean Yem

It needs pyrotechnics.

Sometimes I just get the urge to clickbait. But at least mine's relatively honest.

Big Clive

Hahaha I love you mocking the click bait in the thumbnail.

Looks like a good start for a sci-fi prop.

It is for steaming hair https://www.amazon.co.uk/SMAUTOP-Disinfection-Multifunctional-Colouring-Moisturizing/dp/B0894K982W/ref=sr_1_18?dchild=1&keywords=hair+steamer&qid=1599655761&sr=8-18

I like the construction of that block. Much more interesting than the standard ones. This was fun Clive! thanks man

Michael Thompson

Maybe started life as a steam cleaner for upholstery / curtains, and painted surfaces (rather than spraying paint)?

Mr B Shepherd

Interesting observation on the steam mop, by the time the steam gets from the generator to the base plate it had lost a lot of it's heat, makes me question it's effectiveness.

The Tinkering Shed

The heater block looks very similar to a steam mop heater block, I fixed my brother's mop this week, the block was twice the size with both tubes coming out one end, apart from that it looks like the same construction. It was a branded device, maybe Bissel or Morphy, not sure but probably an off the shelf component. The lower temp cutout had gone due to someone putting detergent in the water feed tank, clogged the flow allowing the unit to run dryer.

The Tinkering Shed

The heater body looks a lot like die cast zinc rather than aluminium.

Paul Kemp

The output isn't really hot enough for paint removal.

Big Clive

Nice look Dr Evil, with your β€œFog Machine”

Jim

In the instructions is the reference to putting paint in the unit or possibly for use of the unit for paint removal?
