They've simplified the atomiser disk circuitry
Added 2020-09-26 13:25:17 +0000 UTCThe water/whisky atomiser disk units used to have fairly complicated circuitry to sense the transformer current, but they seem to have streamlined that a bit now.
It seems a logical approach.

(Carefully not mentioned anywhere on the external packaging, only in the instructions) mine was round and very nicely constructed. Sadly when I went to try it with 70/30 ethanol for a hand sanitiser and flamethrower test 3, months back, it was rsndomly dead, no go. Got a useful odd shaped Li-poly pack that was the perfect size for resurrecting a small "USB spy" camera I have on an old drone, but no other useful parts.

Also mentioned you could use the PG for a more viscous vapor... whiskey is a flavorant or odor which would not impact the disk due to ‘contaminants’ 👌
