Live stream promise....
Added 2020-09-26 23:33:16 +0000 UTCI said on the live stream that I'd release the Irish Cream Sodastream video early.
It's too good to hold back.

I don't have much confidence in drive by wire. I'd rather have some connection to the wheels even if I have to use brute force to overcome a steering system gone wild.

2020-10-03 05:03:39 +0000 UTCVehicles now no longer have power steering pumps. They use a electrical assist ( a electric motor ). The advantage over hydraulic is it can change the amount of assist that is used ,like at highway speeds it will use very little assist , because its not needed and to give more road feel and also forgot less load on the engine and it plays well with hybrids and full electric vehicles. The 2 blue gears act as rotary encoders, the reason for 2 of them is safety besides assist the power steering assist motor can turn the wheel for parallel parking and such and you wouldn't want a false reading and it turn the wheel or provide assist in the wrong direction. Having 2 of them provides redundancy and higher precision for safety and such.
