Definitely not one of my videos.

This type of show would not happen in Britain and America due to safety red tape.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqkUu3VMhF0

Especially the bit where a guy on a drone platform flies out the top of a float and other performers emoji heads also take off courtesy of integrated drones.
(There are strict regulations regarding drones in audience areas here.)

Other things worthy of note.  The cryo foggers and huge waterfall and fountains on a moving float.

Definitely not one of my videos.

Regarding the female points of interest, folk might be interested in the 2020 version https://youtu.be/lIF2eyUNpBc?t=198

Wow! The amount of engineering that goes into some / most of those things.

Frank

Would need a healthy budget to implement a similar water feature in ones garden.

Andrew Donaldson

It's breastakaboobical, chestakamammical, pendular globular fun!

CasualKitty

Does it spoil it if I mention that they are mostly human-powered inside through ropes and wheels?

Big Clive

man some countries really know how to do celebrating right

1:18 something something Headlights. Sorry I got distracted for a second. This is an electronics channel right? ;P

PeetieGonzalez

Brazil? Brazil. The animatronics are a nice touch.

Dustin

This is so colorful! It would be GREAT for the OLED and QLED TV sets at Costco's front entrance!

Phillip Cosgrove

It's maybe telling that I only saw the technology and didn't even register the lady-bits until others mentioned it.

Big Clive

I mean, I know it's national breastfeeding week, but I think youtube's algorithim is leaning very heavily into this one video and I don't know why it's immediately recommending the lingerie football league as well now. It'd all be fine, but the 8-year-old watches youtube on the tablet under my account...

Mark Dennehy

I've seen the footage of those carnivals on YouTube. Some of the stuff is very good.

Big Clive

I'd guess most of that is done by volunteers. Similar to the carnival clubs in the UK.

Big Clive

Look on YouTube for "fiesta del diablo tijarafe". It is an old traditional festivity done in La Palma (Canary Islands), where I'm from. The older the video the better. It basically consists in a guy covered in fireworks running towards the public. Of course, safety red tape has kicked in lastly, making the whole event less impressive.

elias

Yeah, health and safety issues. That's what I was looking at, not semi naked ladies with big boobs.... I told my wife.

AlfaGuy

Wow puts the Edinburgh Tattoo in the shadows ........and most of the Samba Clubs are in the poorest parts of Brazil.....with all that techie and lighting stuff you would be in your element Clive ....why not take a 6 month working sabbatical over there.........

John Catterall

What can I say but some nice healthy girls, just the thing to wake up to in the morning.

Jeremy Travis

That is intricate and ornate and wow what a show

Michael Thompson

Hypothermia was never a problem for the UK ladies ;)

Frank

It's a rather less glamorous location, but next year your should visit Bridgwater for their Illuminated Carnival. You're going to like the number of lights they put on things.

Michael T

Of course he means North America, not South. No need to be pedantic.

I could make a much louder exploding book than that.

Big Clive

But this used to happen every year in America, in a country named Brazil and in a city called Rio de Janeiro,

Crazy, it is a parade arena! You know they take their parties seriously when they build custom arenas for them! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sambadrome_Marquês_de_Sapuca%C3%AD

Lostngone

It just keeps getting more and more amazing! Only possible thing that I think could make this any better is more synchronized choreography. Could do some really amazing integrated dance and choreo with those floats. -Brooks the choreographer. :P

Brooks Andersen

Simply, completely wonderful!

Rand Gray

It's an incredible venue. I think I found it: 22° 54.626'S 43° 11.825'W

Paul Malloy

We gotta get you that exploding book at 5:09! But wow, this is incredible!

Brooks Andersen

Needs a foamy whoofler.. Understated without one.:-)

Wow, oh wow. H&S aside, they are all absolutely amazing. I can't imagine how they choreograph even one of the floats, then there's all the technical stuff with the floats. It is definitely one for my bucket list!! I'll do the lighting for them next year if they like, 100% on both sides for the full show lol.

Paul Ferguson

Some of those female dancers wardrobes don’t leave very much for the imagination. However I think I can live with that... 😜

Lostngone

2 minutes in: "I'm not really going to watch this, just going to skip to the drone guy." ... 30 minutes later...

Jason Brinkerhoff

The 2020 parade is also posted. At 28:10..... there is a platform off to the right and a guy is holding a large "fishing pole" over the parade with a camera dangling from it. No drones in this one. Probably banned from last year. Can you imagine being in charge of wardrobe on this project.

YouTube apparently decided I like that sort of thing. And it was right.

Big Clive

That was an amazing amount of water on some of those floats. And the colors were superb. I was getting burnt out on all the bling

Nani Isobel

Too many "wardrobe malfunctions" for the States :D The floats are absolutely beautiful. An incredible amount of work. Looks like no expense was spared in their creation. Rivals some Disney stuff. Holy crow.... Clive was there in disguise in the parade holding one of his projects... 18:50

Now I want a giant animatronic turtle.

Mark Trombley

Don't think the bare boobies in a parade would be allowed here either lol. Some amazing works of art in there, from the choreography to the float design. Must take ages to plan.

John Carr

I’m guessing you go to Bridgwater Carnival?

That’s some serious engineering.

WOW!

Dr Andy Hill

I can't imagine the effort in building even one of those floats! Some of them seemed to bounce a little too much for comfort, but still, wow!

Davin Desborough

Strike that... they went into the audience for 20 seconds around https://youtu.be/WqkUu3VMhF0?t=1100

Ryan Coleman

Wait so I watched the drone section you mentioned and I don't see them actually going over the audience... in the US that would be perfectly acceptable risk avoiding the audience - but we still fly RC blimps indoors (like at basketball and hockey games) which is basically the same thing.

Ryan Coleman

> This type of show would not happen in Britain ... due to safety red tape. And weather. Some of those poor ladies would die from hypothermia in a UK setting :D

Mark Dennehy

Can you imagine eating some shrooms and being in the front row for that parade! 😱

Lostngone

I hope this virus thing ends so we can do things like that again

Coil B

Have you never been to the Bridgwater Carnival? I bet they don’t have squibbing in Brazil!

Matthew Sylvester

Maybe without the nudity tho, don't want to go too far....

bloody hell, id puke my guts up if i was one of those guys in the spinny things. Im also curious as to what sort of Youtube Journey lead clive to this video

GL_1_Code1_1A

Looks like the perfect xmas parade project for the Dept of Villainy. The residents of IoM would love it ! Have you time to plan ?

Covid aside, words cant describe how good those floats are!
