Test clip Jimmy DiResta style

Just a quick test clip showing assembly of an aluminium frame at a high frame speed.

https://youtu.be/W-3gpGrwASg

It's styled on Jimmy DiResta's videos where he does full builds, but then speeds up the repetitive bits.

I think BC could make an instrument out of different lengths of that tube and file the ends to make music...

Stephen Eyles

That's an interesting admission!!!

Stephen Eyles

Already working on a Christmas tree?

Hub Rijcks

That would look great, but would be very tedious to build.

Big Clive

Somebody please keep the coffee away from Clive. He is making me tired just watching.

Square frame w/ stubs for legs to hold it vertical. Fresh roll of wire mesh nearby. It's mid November. If that's not the base for an animated light display... well, that's what it is. Only questions now are LED of LED fake Neon and PIC or analog. (Arduino would be cool but that's not how this channel rolls)

Bill Kerr

The frame for the dept of villainy xmas thingy :)

Is the Benny Hill theme tune copyrighted?

Whippet Gas

That LED panel is going to take one hell of a long time to populate and solder! cant wait to see one that big ;)

GL_1_Code1_1A

I love that space it has so much character!

Michael Thompson

Most European work trousers have knee pad pockets. I have foam inserts.

Big Clive

BC, you wearing knee pads? Kneeling on concrete is tough on knees!

As I've just posted on YoooTooob, where's ya rubber/leather mallet for knocking those corners in. Eee by gum, ya just can't get the staff these days can ya. LOL :)

Simon Leah

24V ... overkill there’s an equivalent ‘electric hatchet’ in the Milwaukee line for less. And it’s compatible with 100 other tools

Cerity

This is great, I like how your making different tones as you file the different length tubes!!

Mike Hanley

I'm looking forward to your chainsaw video. There's a new hand held model: https://deals.homesteadia.com/mini-chainsaw-1-jzla101?clickid=wdsi4b8bl0n05823it00elde

Coke is a hell of a drug New location, the Big Clive garage, where Clive does the stuff he can't even show on Youtube

The high-speed drill sound is LOUD but the ASMR part of me loved the high-speed filing of the aluminum. Nicely done, Clive.

Ryan Coleman

Alumunium frame... Your newest Christmas light show?

Jeroen van Oosten

If I do the full length version it will be partly normal speed and voice with bursts of high speed.

Big Clive

They're great. Evolution was actually the first company to offer me a free product for my channel, but I already had one. We used them on site and they are very good.

Big Clive

I need to put up a suitably rugged bench in there.

Big Clive

no good without voice clips tho BC

John Catterall

Don't show that video to employers. They'll expect it all the time.

adrian

No tea break in sight... It's winter here in Scotland And the icy breezes blow At seventy miles an hour & at 20 degrees below. Aye, I love my Scotland When the snow is up yer butt Ye take a breath o' winter air And yer nostrils just freeze shut! Aye the weather here is wonderful so I guess I'll stick around. I could never leave my Scotland Cause I'm frozen to the ground!

Those Rage Evolution saws are the dogs, I bought the Rage 3 about 10 years ago and it it the most amazing piece of kit for cutting steel! It literally easts through it in seconds.

Mike Hughes

[Edit] Knees on cold concrete (foamy kneepads or not) 🙈 ...do we need to get Clive a folding workbench for Christmas, hmm? 🎁

Phil in the kitchen

Yup. The original plan was to strip and re-use a single frame each year, but I liked the way the animated tree turned out, so thought I'd build a second frame. This one will probably be simpler. A border and eight animated stars.

Big Clive

Time for another Christmas display?

Michael Thompson

Ill have what hes having Love your channel

William Nimmo

could go faster, i watched at 2x speed.

Kate Cole

Love it, want more!

Coil B

Measure once... cut several times... and then use a big hammer...

Lilla Gubben

Perhaps the ability to put the 6 inch saw at waist level is inconvenient owing to BC and his stature❓

Cerity

If only we could turn the clock back. I've got tinnitus

Neil Tonks

I see a spooky old brick room a frame and a roll of wire mesh... This isn’t going to turn into a “It rubs the lotion on its skin Or else it gets the hose again” type thing is it?

Lostngone

Made my ears hurt. After successfully becoming 20% deaf from 30 years not wearing ear protection

Mike Wynne

Always liked how he did this instead of just jump cutting. Also, you get kind of a "behind the scenes" feel when with this kind of content.

Joseph Rockhill

My knees hurt just watching that
