One of the worst chargers ever.

If you have one of these I recommend cutting the output lead off the charger and binning the charger itself, as it poses a high risk of causing failure of the 18650 cell.

Out of sheer curiosity I got one of these, mine also has no earth continuity through the deathdapter but the charger gives me 4.2.2V with no load so perhaps they did fit a wrong compenent. Get the really narrow beam too with a very low flood.

When you mentioned chucking it in a bin I got curious. Here about once a year we have an e-waste collection (sponsored by companies) to keep electronics from ending up in a landfill. Do you have something like that there?

2020-06-02 17:09:55 +0000 UTCRight now I'm glad that all of my 18650-powered torches contain protected cells (from known brands). I only have one device that protected cells won't fit inside and that puts 4.08 V across the battery terminals. All good!
