Think I will put in an order with JLC, but for now I made a micro version using red/blue and red/green LEDs! Here are a couple of pics and short video : https://photos.app.goo.gl/irwNEnLqX2yT61yx7 I used water clear LEDs so needed to cover it with tape to tone it down

Put two PCBs together today, one with blue flashing LEDs and one with RGB slow flash, very satifying - quite bright. Interrupted by the mains going out, tracked, I thought, to a lamp, looks like it's the freezer.

The 2 for a quid Poundland ones are a tad too small lengthwise, so might pop to the range and look for a decent couple or five.

The Range (sort of a Walmart-type department store place - for non-UK people) have decent frames at £1.39 and £1.79.

And apparently they've shipped and are due by the 13th. That was quick.

Ordered 10 of the Gallium PCBs from JLCPCB, came to £20.86 for shipping to the UK. Now to hunt down the frames and USB cables.

You don't have some affilation with JCLPCB. It would be great to give you something in return for your effort. Or order more boards and sell them at your webshop? I can source the components myself.

I ordered 1000 flashing blues for $22 on eBay. Item number 382296637123 they still have stock.

No flashing blue led's available anywhere on ebay as Big Clive fans have bought them all!! (thought I'd bought some) but eventually found some on Ali express $5.40 for 200 pcs- first time I have used Ali Express so have to wait and see now.

Thanks Clive, just ordered 10 from JLCPCB, worked out at £20.95 for them shipped to the UK, so pretty good. I think I've just found what I'm going to be giving as xmas presents this year :-)

Ordered 5 of the USB version from JLC shortly after you posted this. My very first time ordering a PCB and I'm super excited! I also ordered 5 of the "clap switch" PCB's ( https://youtu.be/A8AGMWbSIPA ) by Electronics Projects - Stefano91ste. Only $2 more for 5 of those boards and I already have the components. Now I just need to decide what kind of LEDs I'm going to use.... I was thinking about making a Pride flag with one of them. Perfect number of rows for that. Also thinking about making a Danish flag for my dad. :D So many possibilities with this design. Is there a good way to share pictures or videos of our "makes" with you?

Clive, I was looking over the gerber for the disko shart 2 and noticed that when the link is made for the 230v, it just links the bottom string back to negative. Shouldnt there be an option to remove that link between the middle of the chain to negative when in 230v mode?

Those alternating LEDs look good. They're usually available in red/green and red/blue.

I searched eBay for 1.5hz LEDs and found there is a "red/blue police car chase" version, would it be completely mental to use those instead? 🤔

Did you check out all the options? The "already" ticked box is the most expensive, (DHL express!!!!) scroll down through the options. I got Royal Mail tracked for $6.42 US to the UK 15-20 days so have a double check.

Thanks for the upload. However USD24.90 for the boards (good), but a rich US$24 to post by the cheapest service. Australia, the lucky country! Not. I noticed even Banggood are charging extortionate prices to post anything here too.

Just ordered mine from jlcpcb, Tip if you intend ordering-: Make sure you choose Royal Mail ($6.42 ) , otherwise it defaults to DHL Express= very expensive.

Thanks Clive... Well I ordered minimum of 5 from jlcpcb - see how that goes - works out about 3 pound per board shipped to me. I probably will only use 2 so may have spares if anyone UK is interested (when/if they arrive that is)
