If you work with these things the novelty soon wears off.

Inside an aroma machine.

Over a quarter of a thousand volts. That just made me laugh, thanks I needed that.

Some films did have extra features like that. Often just switched on manually at a specific scene in the film.

when i went to watch Highlander in the cinema im sure they used an aroma machine we smelt heather smoke in the cinema in one of the scenes it was amazing

Likewise for the aromas in themed areas. It's OK in small doses. The local bakery sometimes makes smells that you really wouldn't want to have at the entrance to a supermarket.

Big Clive

Having lived next to a bakery for 20+ years of my life, even the smell of baked bread will lose its charm

I'm going to avoid making too many videos about UVC products. They're mostly useless and I think people are tired of hearing about them. It seems to have become a trend to stick a random UVC LED in new products.

Big Clive

Hey Big Clive, there's two UV. Cleaning devices mentioned in this video, ones a pen, kinda hard to believe, thought you may want to check it out. https://youtu.be/WVVRVtJ9ujk

It was. It's long overdue its teardown.

I wonder what method they use in the train museum in Utrecht. There is one exhibit which is supposed to show us the history of railroads in the Netherlands, and as you walk in, a voice asks you if you can smell the horses, and the setting is a cave. You can smell the horse poop. I wonder which of these methods they used to reproduce this odor. BTW- The rest of the exhibit was quite good, as was the rest of the museum. I must go back there after the COVID crap is over.

uh-oh, was that an e-cigar I spotted there sneaking into frame?

I love that glass venturi device- old school physics you can see in action.

Always nice to keep the older tech alive ❤️❤️

Great devices, I like how they work.

Wow......I had forgotten about those tubes! I used some very similar venturi tubes setting up a science lab tour when I was in secondary school. They were close to the dissection benches to keep the wee kids from getting sick :D We were supposed to show the kids around the labs and let them play with different experiments. For some reason dissected animal parts were very popular.

The popcorn and cotton candy floss machines put out a good smell of their own. But you can get both as aromas just in case.

Big Clive

I think they just duct out the smell via the hood above the oven.

The amusement park where I worked in my late teens kept their aroma machine in the middle of the midway. It was called Popcorn, It was really effective at grabbing $4 from every passer bye.

Jim

hoho I so almost went to bed

Is this the sort of unit that Subway use to distribute the 6" sub smell?
