New zip files for making simple signage.

I recorded this well into the night due to sleep irregularities, so it may come across as a bit "detached".

The PCB files are here:-

I've only just made the new files, so they haven't been tested.  Feel free to check them out, as it's very easy to miss obvious errors when designing a PCB.  It did pass all its power connectivity tests.

Thanks so much for this Clive! I've been tempted by these for a good while, but don't have the gear to make my own PCBs and don't think I have time or space for another thing to do!

"BC-DC" would be a nice little sign.

A lot of your content seems to happen late at night / early am. Have you tried dormesan based products?

Robert

For some instant lowering of intensity on LED nightlights being driven too hard tape also does the trick. The non stick painters tape can take four or five layers to actually snuff an LED to 0%... if you don’t change the cap or add a resistor in series

A dab of paint on the flashing leds will tame them down. Worth a try?

Our Clive has been compared to Bob Ross on numerous occasions, and rightly so for all the best reasons.

What size are the boards? It could be quite expensive to get the big ones posted- but if you are making a one off sign then what a brilliant solution. Several boards populated yourself could be so cheap compared to commercial prices,m this has to be a win - win for most people. Once again Big Clive comes up trumps ... oh sorry no disrespect by comparing you to the Idiot in America!!

Mike Hughes

"happy little accident" Clive are you channeling the bearded wonder himself, Bob Ross?? You'll be painting landscapes, trees and streams next.

Neil Tonks

Thanks. I learned something!

In the US ‘a bit off’ is colloquial equivalent i think. But as usual BC is sharing gems

Cerity

It's a molecular dip coating. It just seems to develop a very slight tarnish over time that doesn't really show, but does affect solderability unless the gold surface is buffed before soldering.

Big Clive

First I've heard of gold oxidizing. Are we talking about some sort of a gold-colored alloy here rather than AU?

Good stuff Clive! I don't know if you've ever seemed detached. I was under the impression that you just do what you do when you do it, and I have to say that I have adopted that to a large degree, getting up at three am and going to bed "early" just works for me. I have found that working for a company has worn thin and I need a change.

Michael Thompson

"a bit detached" ... LOL

Peter Stimpel

Cool stuff indeed!

William Nimmo

You sir, are spoiling us with wonderful things. Thank you most kindly.
