Uplighter landfill modding

If you work with these things much then you'll know exactly how I feel about them.  In raised decking with known power sources they may be OK.  But out in a street, submerged in water and fed from a random location - they lose their novelty quickly.  Street manholes aren't as glamorous as they look when they are full to the brim with mystery brown liquid.

I would cut the track after the fuse resistor and graft in a sutable capacitor to bring the voltage down then replace the dead multi LED's with pairs of normal smt LED's in paralel so that they run at 9ma each.

Wasn’t behavioural medicine used on our prisoner wards to tell them pink is calming❓

There's nowt wrong with pink!! In the earlier part of the last century, pink was normally associated with boys while blue was more a girls' colour..

One has to wonder how many municipality's are being brought into court for wrongful death suits by the family's of those who were electrocuted by these (compliant?) and cost effective lighting products shipped direct from the land of Mao!

I'm always baffled when I see uplights in modern constructions. Considering how useless and annoying they are and how hot a topic light pollution is.

There are a few manufacturers I would trust in such an application. For example, back in the HID era Hydrel made excellent waterproof lighting (assuming the EC actually installed the gasketing, a story for another time).
