And by induction they mean PIR.

Quite an interesting light, but really not waterproof.

I live by those rules. "I don't wanna be hip and cool, I don't wanna live by the rules,"

I've put stuff inside clear glass jars with opening down to keep them dry. Standard mason jars work.

The box says slightly. It switches from low level to high level briefly when movement is detected.

Funny how the schematic of the 3130 chip notes what looks like a resistor, rated at 100 ohmy! Have they been consulting with George Takei?

Rocco Rizzo

That was like a magic trick the way the battery appeared in your hand :-)

Is it my hearing / bad speakers in phone coupled with small screen - or did you mention that mode 2 was shine 'brightly' and the box says 'slightly'? Knew what you meant and just wanted to check.

There are modifications that can mitigate this some to extent.

Does seem a shame that they will fail so quickly due to water ingress- but yes that’s disposable culture for you.

Nowadays if they haven't poured onto resin on the solar cells I use some super glue along the edges and some of the 3M greenhouse tape per Big Clive... EDIT: Then I solder the switch to perma-on and typically tin the battery terminals and securing the battery with a small dot of hot glue. I've learned both from Clive and experience to take those pre-mods that keep 'em running for the longest. :D
