One of your best streams ever, never laughed so much!....P.S It was my suggestion you drank wine at the start of the stream..........so blame me if anyone got offended

Im catching the stream recorded one day late Supercomputer has a failed led already 3 down 12 across by the way

I visit Lowestoft most years, Southwold is close so I wish I had known about the arcade before. Will try and visit this year anyway if possible.

Matt Tester

It's remarkable how little information there is about him on the Internet. There's an interview with him in the October 1991 issue of Electronics- The Maplin Magazine, that's all I can find. I've uploaded it to my MEGA cloud page if you want it, (assuming you trust me of course). https://mega.nz/file/TMlU1LJR#GdFZRtsf4V0Ocvny9oLo8HqOWJl-7GBRTw4PkY6L2iA The British Library has a list of his books. the last appears to have been in 2011. https://bnb.data.bl.uk/doc/person/PenfoldRA.

It would be interesting to visit his arcades sometime.

I wonder if he's still about. He definitely wrote a lot of books.

Just watched Tim Hunkin's latest video, really enjoying his series. Would a meet at his arcade in Southwold be too far for most people to travel?

had to look her up but ya color me impressed. -- https://youtu.be/n2dvGQ32q8g

I not only collected those books but was at electrical college with a lad of that name.

Another Jagermunion suggestion, Robert Arthur Penfold, as R A Penfold he was a prolific author of paperback circuit books back in the 1970's/1980's. I still have my 555 timer book along with a few others.

I agree she was a pioneer I loved her work from Doctor who to all the great work of the BBC Radiophonic workshop. Most people don't know that she also worked on ITV tomorrow people theme under the anagram of her name. Guilty while off I'll I re-watched both as never seen tomorrow people since the seventies.

N. Shaun Tremayne

Jagermunion suggestion: Delia Derbyshire (pioneered electronic music using tape before synths existed)

Raven Luni

Feel free to share thoughts now. My own thoughts are condensation, grime absorbing moisture and causing brief tracking and bugs.

That's the offices of Pokerstars.

If you don’t get the answer in the stream I’ll fill you in.

Question for the stream: i have a garbage disposal unit (AC motor). It's 120VAC and plugged into a GFCI outlet. In the dry winter, it works fine. When summer brings higher humidity and temperatures, the GFCI kicks in whenever I flip the on switch for the first time in that hour. I have to reset the GFCI, then it works just fine when I flip the switch again. What's causing the GFCI to trigger under inductive load in humid weather?

Jeremy Impson

Interesting shape of that building on the horizon.

Andrew Donaldson

That sure does look like a quiet stream.

Mike Hanley

Such sad. These streams aren't as fun watching the recording as they are live, but i have a stream i'll be in around the same time as well this thursday. Hope it's fun as usual, as D&D is my topic to follow throughout the week at the moment.
