Stealth Stream

I'll be doing a sneaky extra mid-week stream.  It'll start as Patreon only for at least the first half hour, then open up to the masses.

At this point it's going to start at the usual time, but should I try an earlier stream at some point, and how many hours earlier?

1 hour earlier suits me, but I don't sweat it. If I need to hit the sack, I do exactly that.

Mike Page

Very sneaky!

Mike Hanley

Yeah an hour earlier would make it start at 21:00 in the centre of the world. That would be nice.

horrovac

An hour earlier again for me but I do kind of feel sorry for your antipodean viewers

Chipmunk

An hour earlier will move the start time to 9 pm most of mainland Europe, that would be great. 2 hours earlier would be even better (but might be too early for UK participants).

Paul Slootman

An hour earlier would be good for me

Liz Edwards

I'm hanging on for a 24hour Clivestream.

Russell Couper

Neat idea, Iโ€™m in and looking forward

Elim Garak

This is a nice surprise for today. I agree with other saying an hour earlier would be good, especially on a Thursday.

Simeon

I'm off work Friday so I'll be there. Need to get a couple of bottles of red wine. Last Saturday I only had beer and I'm not a big beer drinker though I work for a beer company ๐Ÿค”

I'd agree, 1 hr earlier would work okay in both the UK and the Americas, but not any earlier or you'd come up against evening/midday meal times. Plus it would be just a little kinder to EUR as well, they being an hour or so of ahead of IOM time (nearly said UK!). But on balance I'd leave things as they are - starting earlier means keeling over into unconsciousness earlier, possibly an hour before the test card appears. Plus it's easier to lose participants by changing the time than it is to gain new ones that way.

Ymir the Frost Giant

Mid Week streams are a bit late for me. An hour earlier would be good.

Tony Weavers

I've got no dog in this. I work graveshift, so I usually miss the streams unfortunately.

Eric Woodley

Would love an hour earlier, sometimes on a Saturday, usually I can only watch an hour live and them I'm asleep for work.

I'd prefer about 2~3hrs earlier as I'm struggling to stay awake past 9~10pm at night. It's 5am in the UK now & I've just got up for work.

6-8 hours earlier would be good for your Australian viewers

It's hard to fit everyone in due to the timezone's around the world. The existing time was calculated for the largest percentage of channel viewers by location.

Big Clive

Longest was over 5 hours.

Big Clive

It doesn't. There may have been slight issues with it as it's new. But it might be an idea to try it again.

Big Clive

I live in Finland and the stream starts usually at 11 PM Finnish time. So 3 to 4 hours earlier than usual would be just perfect.

This would probably work well for a lot of folks in the Americas. I'm on the East coast and the stream starts at 4:05PM (GMT-5 DST). This time change would not impact me watching.

For Eastern Canada things usually start 4pm and run until 7pm ... western Canada would be 1pm til 4pm .... both are convient but there is probably wiggle room.

Peter Stevens

Your streams start around 4AM in the night for me... not an ideal time to join. I'm probably in the minority there, though.

Sprite_tm

I'm in UK but it doesn't matter to me as long as we know. What's the longest one you've done Clive? Is there a time limit? Would it be creepy if we all watched you sleeping ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Mark Holder

I think they are a good time for me here in the states, they end up being in the afternoon and easier to catch

Re: earlier stream: Given my timezone I would have to advise that the stream start a negative number of hours earlier. That is to say, it would have to actually be later for me to see it real time. Right now the streams are about as early as I can manage to wake up in the morning (and I often miss them due to needing more sleep). I'm in the minority in this regard but I just thought I'd throw in my two cents.

Does this stream have the "only subscribers" chat enabled? I don't know what the option is called.

I feel bad for mentioning it. We figure it out and move on. Now I have a full day to prepare and plan my time.

I'll have to be "nicer" to meet the expectations of the main channel. Less likely to involve Bad Dragon references.

Big Clive

Same timezone. It really fits.

Does this mean beverages and naughty language will be dialed down?

Peter Stevens

Haha, same

I'll edit it to avoid saying tonight. It always catches me out.

Big Clive

Selfishly, I like the current time during the week since I'm east coast US. It's right around the time I do my nightly walk at the park so I just throw in my ear buds and listen in.

Todd Sharp

Dammit, I saw this and thought an extra stream? and it's now? Yippee!! .. but its only 10pm Wednesday Canuckistand time... :-(

Peter Stevens

I'm in! Edit: It is night here and I thought it was a sneaky now stream. If we had a flat earth this wouldn't be a problem.
