I do have to be at the office tomorrow - every 2nd Friday we have meetings most of the day. Scrum seems to be more meetings than actual programming ๐Ÿค” The rest of the week we also have several meetings, but they are virtual ๐Ÿ‘€ I will drop out of the chat before the end - but I'll listen to the rest from bed, as my "sleeping pill". Plenty of red wine in house so no worries in that area ๐Ÿ˜Š

It could be useful for a rough comparison of matched pairs. I'm not sure how linear they would be given the meter test is done at very low current.

A question for the stream, if you care to address it... no YT account so I can't ask there. You've (rightfully) made fun of the h-FE transistor gain measurement function on multimeters - and it almost certainly is a spec sheet feature-box-ticking thing, not a useful function for virtually all users. However, someone once pointed out to me what they said was the only legitimate use they'd ever seen for it, and I'm wondering if it holds water. Explanation was, with a class B / push-pull transistor amplifier, you wanted to match the gain of the two transistors on the same amp channel as closely as possible, so that the positive-half and negative-half of the amplified signal were not amplified asymmetrically (which would induce some additional amount of THD). Does that sound reasonable to you? And have you ever had a situation where gain-matched transistors might have been useful? Thanks...

That sounds odd. I'm not sure why it could be producing an apparently higher voltage.

With RCDs being talked about lately, my dehumidifier failed (Meaco 20L Low Energy), tripping the RCD in the middle of the night. For curiosity, I separated the earth wire, applied power and it measured 310V AC to neutral when its compressor started. I then put a 60W old incandescent bulb inline and it lit unusually bright, measuring 281V AC across the bulb. It makes me wonder what shorted to earth inside to produce an elevated voltage on the earth wire.

I like fizzy wine. I guess it's sometimes called a Spritzer here though that's usually accomplished with a drink of choice combined with some of the various zero calorie flavored sparkling waters. I like a red combined with a Berry water for instance.

Fizzy Wine leads to extra special Conversations!

Fizzy wine? Oh no, I hate that I need to miss this one because I'll be driving on the road. Maybe there is some low-data mode I can use to listen as I drive.
