Had our low producing water well fractured. The process is to remove the pump, fill the well with water, and then dump in about 100 pounds (45.5 kg) of dry-ice then cap the well for several hours. This causes the rock formations to fracture and hopefully allow more water to find it's way into the well. As an added bonus, for the next two weeks or so you get to bathe in carbonated water, a most exhilarating and unique experience!!!

I didn't realise that supercrastan was available with a translation. Not sure I'd try that with a glass bottle. Plastic would be safer. You can refill sodastream cylinders by using dry ice if you are careful about the weight.

I wonder if the ethanol carbonates or just the water content. Suppose you could check by trying to carbonate pure ethanol.

When at college in the 80's we used to experiment with Carbonated Gin & Vodka at parties instead of G&T or V&T just no tonic ! As the CO2 aids the absorption into bloodstream everyone got off to a happy time.
