For a tablet it seems very bodged together. I get the feeling that the improvised aluminium tape screening was an attempt to make satellite reception more accurate by reducing radiated noise from adjacent circuitry.

Wonder if the chipset/software inside is suffering from the WNRO bug? My TomTom required a (free!) Update to continue working https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/GPS_week_number_rollover

2021-06-28 20:33:11 +0000 UTCIf it hasn't had a location for some time, it has to get an almanac from the satellites before it can find a solution. So it will show satellites available but not included for a while.

2021-06-24 19:03:48 +0000 UTCMy second smartphone had a resistive display. (The first smartphone went through the washing machine while still on contract.) I preferred it, because my big fingers with hard skin on the ends are not ideal for capacitive screens. Using a stylus on a resistive screen was super-accurate and much faster for typing.
