Very "retro" design that may be Japanese
Added 2021-06-26 18:02:19 +0000 UTCI'm making a guess that this unit may be an ongoing product originally biased towards the Japanese market. I can recall buying one literally decades ago. Possibly even before the Internet!

The circuitry is strangely retro for a microcontroller based product, with a very functional design.

Just for interest I run an Omron M10-IT Blood Pressure on a powerbank it should have 4 AA batteries I gave up using the USB to download data it gave me a headache, just use a spreadsheet now. The battery drain on standby was killing me ;-) making my [BP go up] never worked when I wanted it to. To use it I do not bother setting the clock just turn it on and off to bypass the date entry and then use it.
