I de-potted another high voltage module

While scouring aliexpress for weird modules I found these, and since they looked different to normal ion modules I bought a couple and de-potted one to reverse engineer the circuitry.

One of the most remarkable things about this high voltage module is that it only uses about 17mA at 12V.

I did subsequently de-pot the other unit with loads of emitter wires too.

HI-V - is that the same as AIDS? That SEC seems to be responsible, SECs causes lots of problems

Gordo

+1 - yes still enjoying them here too

Big Clive, I know you worry about making to many videos about this topic, I assure you they are still totally awesome and always interesting! Please keep doing what you do!

Aliexpress seems to have a lot. High current onbes for microwaves and low current ones for little high voltage modules like these.

With the demise of CRT high voltage diodes are getting harder to source.

I am of the belief that more knowledge of a subject should not be complained about. If they are not happy, I agree, direct them elsewhere. For me I have learned more about electronics from Clive in the last 3 or 4 years than the previous 50 odd years.

Do people actually complain about these these subjects? Because if so I would direct them elsewhere it's that simple.

From which Ali store did you buy the dual pole module? There are lots of sellers of the module - but at quite different prices. Just choosing the cheapest isn't always the best option :-)
