I've got 200mb fiber my xbox speed test is around 180mb but my moto g7 power speed test is usually below 40mb

Definitely seems a bit odd. I have 100/100 fibre and it is on point, always. But great to hear that your upload has significantly increased. No more stu-u-uu-tt-e-ee-r, I hope.

Although installed by Manx Telecom, the service is being supplied through Sure (Cable & Wireless). They offer various plans. Mine is the 100Mbit plan.

Could you not post last Saturday on here as I feel asleep and only caught the end which is probably the bit that needs cutting off ;-) On the Saturday stream I miss the starts as still daylight at the moment. I did not miss the alcoholic ending with the invasion just the start.

I had to switch to cat 7 to get the most out of my fiber. I'm assuming the router came with at least 1 good cable. Does Manx telecom offer different service levels?

I feel bad now for complaining that my 20Mbps up is bad. It is compared to 200 down I suppose. Looking forward to seeing how it performs.

Fantastic! Three weeks from ordering fibre to getting it in your house. Maybe use this inaugural fibre stream to experiment with resolution, frame rates etc.

try connecting by cable for testing, check whether the wireless is outputting 2.4 and 5 signals separately. I had problems with my Vodafone router because it was sending the wireless signal together.

Wireless on a brand new high speed router. I may take a laptop up and plug it directly in.

Hi Clive, are these low speeds by cable (CAT5 or 6) or 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz wireless?

It's supposed to be 100Mbps, but so far has wavered between 5 and 13Mbps. The guy doing the final installation also seemed a bit exasperated. I don't think he was getting the speeds he was looking for.

Yay! You really will love it. Random: today I discovered that the size and thread of a standard MK8 3d printer nozzle is exactly the same as the one on my butane soldering iron. Handy to burn random crap out of a clogged nozzle! Turned a clog into pure carbon in not very long at all.
