Completely "pish" light

This is the video where I suddenly realised that the word "PISH" is very unique to Glasgow in Scotland.

I shall now use it here at every opportunity.

Completely "pish" light

Comments

Every second week, if we`re very nice then sometimes Clive will reward us with an extra Thursday stream. All good things in moderation. Lol

No PATREON stream last night ? 🤷‍♂️

Mick Spanner

A hopeless task ....been trying for years.

Phil in the kitchen

pish pĭsh interjection Used to express disdain. An exclamation of contempt. LOL. I don't know. I think the thing for me would be the narrow beam of the light. At 300 (+) mA, you'd think it would last at least a little while. What's the capacity of a SLA that size I wonder?

Dave Frederick

Thanks for making me swipe at me screen to shoo away the gnat!😝 😂

Or a big bears FleshLight

Sean Yem

Probably for smuggling drugs

Sean Yem

Duff Lite

Sean Yem

Go on Clive, Let's see you fill it with LiPos and pop a 20w COB in there! I dare you! I'm will get proper pished off if you leave it there! 🤣

Sean Yem

I wonder if it's one of those 'join now - free emergency torch' kind of promotion items?

Stephen Eyles

Go home light. You're pished... or Duff, like the beer.

Russell Levine

Maybe I should have looked at the box properly. I didn't realise it was an AA branded unit.

Big Clive

Feel Sure the light didn't give the AA (Automobile Association) much Kudos in their branding of it and interesting you said in the comments that maybe it was a way of China getting rid of their toxic waste, not something that had crossed my mind and I expect there are quite a few products that may fit that profile !!

Robert

The empty space in that thing is mind boggling.

I've only come across pish as a mild swearword, like 'bother' or 'fiddle'.

adrian

Definitely would like to see this lamp modified and made better :-)

Loren

Indeed... a bit of a 𝘱𝘪𝘴𝘩 𝘱𝘰𝘰𝘳 light, full of fresh air ...to see our beloved "clampy" getting its jaws around. Nevertheless, a welcome appearance of the old red 'snapping turtle' for all of us in C.O.C.K. (Clampy Owners Club Kitchen-dwellers).

Pish has been used since the 60's in Tyne and Wear that I'm aware of. Could be longer but I'm only so old. Of course any area of heavy engineer and mining has a very migratory population so loads of people from around the UK & Ireland live there. Fun fact, the colour of the Labour Party flag in Northumberland is green due to the large local Irish population when the party formed.

Pish is also used in Belfast and surrounds (or was when I was a kid there in the early '70s) I remember being in grade 1 or 2 in 1973 and I did a project on Fish . . . the way I drew the F, looked like a P . . . my older cousins at the same school teased me incessantly because I did a Pish project . . . that was 49 years ago and I still remember it vividly, and can see the drawings I did . . .
