Thanks, David! Yours went to the post office this evening as well.

Charles

I do like having them around to stare at while thinking through a problem. I took it to the post office this evening, so it will go out with tomorrow's mail. Thanks again!

Charles

The kits look great Charles. I bought a blue one!

You're welcome. I know that this was a lot of work (the logistics alone!) and I'm glad o support the outcome. I'm looking forward to some soldering practice and fun. And a neat little retro super computer on my desktop. I'll like that.

My first sale! Thanks, Mario!

Charles

Very cool! Bought one just now.

Their fee structure is, I think, more complex than Ebay's, probably to hide how much they take. And they just announced a raise in the big fee, the transaction one, from 5% (already pretty steep) to 6.5%, which is kind of ridiculous. And that doesn't include the payment processing fee, which is around 3-4% plus 0.25 dollars/pounds/euros depending on country. Looks like Etsy will be taking something like 12% of every sale, which is borderline-criminal. But I think Etsy is a lot more user-friendly than Ebay to non-technical people, so it's likely easier to sell some types of stuff there.

Charles

Looks good. I should consider Etsy as an alternative to eBay in the future.

Pardon the semi-spam... but the kits for the "square supercomputer" are finally available for sale on Etsy. https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/RetroFutureTech Why'd it take this long? It took a number of board revisions before I had something I was comfortable releasing to the general public, I spent a bunch of time researching shipping and sourcing the right packaging materials, etc. And I built a huge build guide/instructions/help website to go along with it, in case anyone new to hobby electronics wanted to get one. Clive, I'm dropping one of the new boards in the mail today for you. I wanted to show you I'd addressed your concerns about the previous ones :) Thanks, Charles
