Miniature wireless power transfer modules

Probably the real purpose of the chip that was used in the wireless LED system.

Very compact and surprisingly simple system based on the XKT chips.

Yeah, I found those listings while looking for the data sheet. Not sure what the anti-foreign function is.

I found something € 4,99 6%OFF | 5pcs/lot XKT-R2 XKTR2 with anti-foreign function Lithium battery Power battery Car special 300V wireless charging IC https://a.aliexpress.com/_mPRuWqw

I didn't originally plan to do that, but just spontaneously did it.

Big Clive

For the low current involved it may just have been the simplest option.

Big Clive

I reckon it would work for that, but I'd want to use a protected cell as a precaution against overcharging.

10 our of 10 for Arts and Crafts skills for cutting out those round circuit board photos with a high degree of proficiency. GOLD STAR, CLIVE!

Clive did a video on the XKT chips dated 29 Jan. Worth a look.

Thanks, Clive. Looks like this stuff is finally going mainstream. I still don't think you'll be charging your car this way. The receiver's linear regulator seems wasteful, but there may be method in the madness. An air core transformer is never going to be simple.

Electric Toothbrush charging?

Mr B Shepherd

Would it charge an 18650? I have a cheap led torch that has inductive charging by sticking the end of the torch into a small base, it is about 20mm in diameter.

any chance of probing the transmitter signal wire to the fet with your scope - or even looking at the recieved waveform before and after the regulator?

Magic chips, or as the British call them, magic crisps.

Russell Levine

That was fun. Thanks Big Clive.
