You could try it, but the fans tend to draw their current in pulses, so it's not as simple as a resistive load. It may be better getting 24V fans.

Question: Can one put DC fans in series? My 3d printer has 24v on the fan connectors thinking it would be neat if I could put 2x 12v fans instead, would this work with PWM?

Hi Clive, I purchased a Hopi tester (mainly because I like the big red LED display). I got it with a North American type "B" plug. I noticed right away that its receptacle has live and neutral reversed. It's easy enough to correct, but if any of your viewers have purchased it, they should be aware of that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkO0aMJElE8

Shipping stuff internationally is crippling these days. Have you priced for the cost of shipping a bare PCB in minimal packaging? It's also worth asking the local postal service what the cheapest way of shipping it is in case they're trying to upsell you to a premium service.

Question for anyone who has said they might be interested in a kit for the "square" (100mm by 100mm, 144 LEDs) supercomputer: I've been looking into selling them through Etsy, and what I would need to charge. Shipping to pretty much anywhere outside of Canada (where I am) is pretty darned expensive, so the kit + shipping charge would have to be at least CA$90, $72 USD, 52 UKP, 63 euro, $99 AUD. Is anyone interested in these? It would be a kit with the latest version of the circuit board populated with resistors and other components, plus the nice diffuse slow-flash LEDs in your choice of colour for you to solder in yourself -- with some extras included. I'm hoping to get some idea of whether there's a demand for these or not - Etsy wants a whole lot of personal information, and I'd just as soon not give it to them if no one is actually interested in buying the things. Also: would anyone want a pre-assembled version, i.e. complete rather than a kit? Charles

They are very good. It's how all printers should be.

There may be wine. Not sure if it's just the wine or my excessive carbonation, but it tends to make me feel a bit rough afterwards.

The IKEA unit and filters do look good value for money. For 3D printing the larger size of the rectangular filters may complicate things a bit.

Not a question but I wanted say thank you for the recommendation of Epsom EcoTalk printers in some video ages ago. I got one based partially on that and have loved it since. Now I don't care how many photos my wife prints or how many goes it takes me to get some print-out or other right. Thanks again.

Fizzy wine time!

I gamble there'll be a scramble for this ramble. I might just amble along.

Aw shucks, thanks, but it's not til July.

Pre-patreon-stream question:- Air filters, Ikea do a replacement air filter for their square units at a cost of £6, one could easily make a box/housing/fan to accommodate this filter panel, does this represent good value for money?
