Just getting my mojo back
Added 2022-01-19 18:31:07 +0000 UTCYou guys probably noticed the lower number of videos recently.
I'm not sure if it was an after effect of the covid, another bug or a reaction to the Moderna booster - but something knocked the stuffing out of me.
I literally couldn't stay awake. It was like sleep-deprivation effects.
I woke up this morning and thought the place seemed eerily quiet - when in reality it's normally quiet. I think it was actually just the "thing" passing. Because I feel pretty good now.
Back to making videos.....

Oh good. Welcome back Big Clive. So glad you were protected and so glad you're feeling better.

2022-01-21 06:14:57 +0000 UTCGlad to hear you are better 👍🏻.Maybe you need to ozonate your house and get some uvc leds in your beard.

2022-01-20 13:10:21 +0000 UTCThanks for being honest and taking the time to rest and relax. I too had a rough December. I wasn't down with covid but there was something about the latest wave, the cold weather (in Canada), the lack of sunshine and everything else really zapped my motivation. It took me till last week til finally get out of a 6 week funk. Onwards and upwards.
2022-01-20 11:59:47 +0000 UTCThere's no rush. We can wait. Rest and recover and get back to the madness when you are ready.
2022-01-20 10:14:46 +0000 UTCA friend of mine said it was like flicking a switch when he was recovering from it. He also said he's had a few days of random times where he suddenly had the energy taken out of him for a few hours. No rush to do stuff. Get yourself right first.
Paul Noble
2022-01-20 03:03:02 +0000 UTCTake your time buddy. We can wait if need be.
Scrufdog
2022-01-20 01:36:24 +0000 UTCPut your feet up and have a rest whilst your system recovers.
Russell Couper
2022-01-20 01:36:12 +0000 UTCCould've been a little from column A, a little from column B. The Moderna booster is a smaller dose than the primary doses, so if you had Moderna for your first two I'd expect you to see less side-effects from the booster but immune systems are weird ;)
Jrandom Bob
2022-01-20 01:16:48 +0000 UTCYeah, I got a mild headache and a couple of days of fatigue after each of my three too.
Jrandom Bob
2022-01-20 01:15:26 +0000 UTCHow often your vids appear is neither here nor there to me at least, because their quality is always top notch. One good feast lasts a great deal longer than constant snacking. Thought for food. Plus you gave me a chance to get up to speed with the Vice Grip Garage. A guy appreciates that.
Ymir the Frost Giant
2022-01-20 00:33:44 +0000 UTCThat is great news Clive - really glad you are recovering and feeling better.
Henry Becker
2022-01-19 23:46:58 +0000 UTCGlad to hear you are recovering! Welcome back to the world of the living :)
dans
2022-01-19 23:16:22 +0000 UTCGlad you feel better. I had what could only be described as "bottom problems" after my vaccines as well as the usual achy joints, I know a few gents as well that had these issues after their jabs.
2022-01-19 22:58:21 +0000 UTCNot sure about that yet.
Big Clive
2022-01-19 22:52:52 +0000 UTCMany people report having a "brain fog" after having COVID. In some people this goes on for a very long time. My doctor told me about one of his patients who had recovered from the obvious part of the disease but couldn't stay awake or focused, was unable to return to his work. Glad to hear that you are feeling better.
Bill Kerr
2022-01-19 22:52:16 +0000 UTCMy booster jab knocked out my energy levels for a day or so. Glad you're back on form!
mikenco
2022-01-19 22:45:25 +0000 UTCGood to hear you are "recharged". I guess Covid made it a trickel change.
Zeedijk Mike
2022-01-19 22:43:09 +0000 UTCSometimes I feel that would be an idea.
Big Clive
2022-01-19 22:42:26 +0000 UTCI did abide by the 28 day recommendation here. But it is possible it was too early.
Big Clive
2022-01-19 22:40:24 +0000 UTCIt's viable. Ralfy also mentioned sleeping issues. WE do have to keep in mind that we are animals and do respond to environmental disturbances.
Big Clive
2022-01-19 22:39:42 +0000 UTCI was definitely sounding tired in the videos I did record.
Big Clive
2022-01-19 22:38:07 +0000 UTCI hope you never feel pressured to put out videos, The last thing is for you to get burned out. Take your time. And take care of yourself. After all if you don't have your health you don't have anything. Take it from some one that nearly bit the dust a month ago.
Charles Bruckner
2022-01-19 22:37:05 +0000 UTCA highschool friend (meaning we are both ... ahem ... 58 +/-) had a similar progression. He, too, was vaxxed but his intense fatigue was included in his initial sickness and not delayed like yours appears (to me) to have been. Please don't worry about making vids and get well!!
Peter Laws
2022-01-19 21:52:28 +0000 UTCPfizer all 3 times, no issues (although, it may have been a coincidence, but 2 weeks after first, I went through the worst vertigo of my life). Your health come first... then you can entertain us.
Russell Levine
2022-01-19 21:46:31 +0000 UTCI’m very glad to hear your lum is back to reeking again, Clive! 👍🏼
Blair Scouten
2022-01-19 21:46:10 +0000 UTCGlad to hear your on the mend Clive. I had the Pfizer booster on the 29th December, felt really tired since having the booster but starting to feel almost back to normal again now.
2022-01-19 21:37:12 +0000 UTCIt took me several months to get over COVID-19 so don't be too hard on yourself and just take your time to heal.
Chris Horry
2022-01-19 21:34:50 +0000 UTCGlad to hear you’re starting to 'come around' Clive! I too, had a not-so-fun experience with the SpikeVax from Moderna. The first jab was fine, (I only had a couple of days with mild discomfort) but the second jab was, awful. It was the worst two-three weeks I have ever experienced next to what my brother and I endured when we got the mumps in the 1980’s. I was surprised when I got my first booster almost two weeks ago, I experienced no discomfort whatsoever! (Apart from the typical soreness around the injection site.)
Bo Holbo Rasmussen
2022-01-19 21:31:10 +0000 UTCGlad to hear you are mending! Be well!
Rand Gray
2022-01-19 21:23:38 +0000 UTCMy Moderna boaster jab was the worst of the 3 jabs (the first 2 were astrazeneca). Spend the best part of 2 days sleeping it off as I was unable to do anything. Couldn't even watch Youtube or read as I had no powers of concentration.
2022-01-19 21:13:22 +0000 UTCOuch, health problems aren't fun. Glad to hear you've been getting better. If you need time off, please don't hesitate. We're here to support you, not to demand for more content. Take care!
2022-01-19 21:11:09 +0000 UTCAt least we're not paying for poor service! Just kidding, take the time you need and if anyone has a problem with you taking a break for whatever reason, then that's their issue.
Jason Greene
2022-01-19 21:04:58 +0000 UTCI think many are feeling the same way. I put it down to the crappy weather but maybe Ralph is right (NOT)
Gerry BVR
2022-01-19 20:48:39 +0000 UTCLike all good bears you deserve some hibernation at this time of year - Spring will be here soon!
Mr B Shepherd
2022-01-19 20:26:44 +0000 UTCDon't feel sad for noticing changes: it'd be really awful to feel guilty because of being alive.
2022-01-19 20:15:16 +0000 UTCTake your time, mate. You're only human.
2022-01-19 20:12:33 +0000 UTCGood to hear you are feeling better - the Pfizer booster sucked the life out of me - starting to get the energy back now though as well.
electronbox
2022-01-19 20:09:14 +0000 UTCSurprised they wanted you to have the booster so close to actually having covid. Glad you are feeling better.
Steve Lemon
2022-01-19 20:07:40 +0000 UTCGood on you Clive, hope your feeling good soon
Jordan Clarke
2022-01-19 20:04:50 +0000 UTCExcellent news! Will you be celebrating your newly revived zeal with an impromptu mid-weeker?
Phil in the kitchen
2022-01-19 20:00:58 +0000 UTCGreat to hear the bear is out of hibernation! The vax and covid seems to affect different people differently. First shot just left my arm very sore. Second one absolutely wrecked me - pains, fever etc. Thankfully the booster left the arm a only wee bit sore. But Covid was just like a really bad headcold......think my evil living gave me a resistance lol
John Carr
2022-01-19 19:50:55 +0000 UTCThanks for looping us in Clive - we're all sending positive vibes! Just like those ones going round the outside of the copper wires that are actually carrying the power according to Veritasium! - eejit!
2022-01-19 19:48:54 +0000 UTCI hope no one has spiked your burgers!
Andrew Donaldson
2022-01-19 19:46:11 +0000 UTCI had similar reactions to the mRNA vaccines. They turned me into a cat - 8 hours awake and 16 asleep...
2022-01-19 19:33:11 +0000 UTCKeep well Clive.
Tony Weavers
2022-01-19 19:26:13 +0000 UTCI'm just getting over covid now, have been testing positive for the last 13 days but today I'm negative, have been feeling completely exhausted and defocused, interestingly I felt the same for about a week before I tested positive, incubation period maybe. Hope you're feeling ok Clive, big bear hug 😃
2022-01-19 19:21:01 +0000 UTCthe booster knocked the shit out of me too
2022-01-19 19:20:32 +0000 UTCGreat. Glad you’re doing better now
Kevin Hardisty
2022-01-19 19:19:08 +0000 UTCGlad you've found some wind in your sails once more. Happy sailing!
Mike Page
2022-01-19 19:09:59 +0000 UTCSo you were just holding out for a Bad Dragon sponsorship! You bear you!
LibC
2022-01-19 19:08:58 +0000 UTCYou are a bear, you should be in hibernation.
2022-01-19 19:07:19 +0000 UTCGlad to hear you are getting back on track. Suggest that now you've got it back, don't take the top off your mojo to see how it works.
Jim Hewlett
2022-01-19 19:00:38 +0000 UTCGlad you seem to feel more energized. Ease yourself back though, quality is better then quantity anyway. :)
Broxie
2022-01-19 18:57:59 +0000 UTCGlad you are feeling better
David Thompson
2022-01-19 18:56:38 +0000 UTCGlad to hear you’ve come out the other side big guy! Had some sort of sinusitis here right after getting over c19 I can definitely understand where you’re coming from.
2022-01-19 18:55:50 +0000 UTCI think you had the vaccine too soon after the infection - this triggers a generalised immune response. The recommendation is to wait 3 months!
2022-01-19 18:55:37 +0000 UTCGlad you're feeling better look forward to more great stuff
2022-01-19 18:54:56 +0000 UTCThat’s just you adjusting to your new life as a magnet person. Flux with your system a bit.
Mike Knowles
2022-01-19 18:54:18 +0000 UTCGlad to here you feel better i know when I had my third booster shot i felt i for a few days hit me more than the first two any way keep up the good work loving your videos as all ways :)
Mort
2022-01-19 18:49:40 +0000 UTCA lot of people are having the same problems sleeping. I was told by a sailing captain that the air pressure has been high since the volcanic eruption and that affects your sinuses and inner ear. Seems a good a reason as any I guess.
evilution
2022-01-19 18:49:37 +0000 UTCGood to hear that you are feeling much better. One isn’t complete when feeling not right. Looking forward to many more Clive content, always a pleaser watching your videos. During the last years you provided me and I assume many others with lots of positive distractions from other stuff may it be personal or professional nature. May the mojo stay with you and never leave.
Elim Garak
2022-01-19 18:49:35 +0000 UTCWe are pleased to hear that you are feeling like you are getting back to normal Clive 👍

2022-01-19 18:48:43 +0000 UTCThe vote was unanimous.

2022-01-19 18:47:34 +0000 UTCDon't overdo it and have a setback. Take it easy and let Ralphie wait on you hand and foot.
RonNona
2022-01-19 18:46:29 +0000 UTCHmmm, I had my moderna booster just before Christmas. Felt like a zombie for a couple of weeks after but put it down to post Christmas blues. You have me thinking now that it's a side effect of the vaccine.
Glyn Roberts
2022-01-19 18:46:20 +0000 UTCGreat to hear your back. It was probably a double whammy from covid then vaccine on top. My first a second knocked me back for the following 48hours.
N. Shaun Tremayne
2022-01-19 18:42:59 +0000 UTCI had similar effects of all 3 of the pfizer shots i've had so far, glad you're starting to feel better!
CH23
2022-01-19 18:42:33 +0000 UTCGood to hear. I'd guess it's the virus rather than the booster, but I'm no expert! Thankfully I've had all the jabs and haven't caught this thing yet.
Simeon
2022-01-19 18:42:18 +0000 UTCI wasn't sure how to phrase this, so I'm glad you did. You've just seemed "down" (if that makes any sense) since you've had COVID. Glad to see you're feeling more upbeat. I know you love the cold, but the lack of daylight this time of year doesn't help anyone either.
Muxer Baker
2022-01-19 18:42:13 +0000 UTCGlad you are feeling better!

2022-01-19 18:40:58 +0000 UTCTake your time and recover, if we can wait for PhotonicInduction's vids, we can wait for yours ;-) x

2022-01-19 18:40:50 +0000 UTCHave you noticed an increasing fondness for mobile phone masts ?

2022-01-19 18:38:47 +0000 UTCSecret Society of Big Clive Patreons had a vote and we decided you are allowed to be tired occasionally.

2022-01-19 18:38:36 +0000 UTCStay safe and healthy, MrClive. All the best!

2022-01-19 18:37:54 +0000 UTCGreat you’re ok Clive. Tiredness is one of the major side effects.
Mike Wynne
2022-01-19 18:37:35 +0000 UTCHappy to hear you're feeling better!
2022-01-19 18:37:20 +0000 UTCI believe the most common symptom associated with long COVID (and post viral syndrome in general) is fatigue so it probably was the COVID.
2022-01-19 18:36:46 +0000 UTCI felt similar with both of my Pfizer shots, I would often find myself falling asleep in the middle of the day, and with very low blood pressure, for about one week after each shot.
2022-01-19 18:36:35 +0000 UTCTake care Clive, your health is more important.
2022-01-19 18:36:18 +0000 UTCGlad to hear you’re at the end of the tunnel. The Moderna booster affected me far less than the second dose. Still tired but not go-to-bed ill. I can’t imagine your Christmas plans ending tits-up helped much either. I would prescribe going to support the local during dry January TBH! 😁
Chris
2022-01-19 18:35:17 +0000 UTCYour health is what matters most. There will always be enough time for videos.

2022-01-19 18:34:35 +0000 UTCI surely hope you get back to your old self.... X
2022-01-19 18:34:21 +0000 UTCGood to hear. As someone with a on going sleep disorder having the stuffing knocked out of you is definitely not fun. Take your time returning to normal.
Peter Stevens
2022-01-19 18:34:13 +0000 UTCGlad you're feeling better - We all appreciate all your time, Clive!
