2022-07-31 03:34:24 +0000 UTCIt looks like if someone is pretending to not be home but has the phone off-hook, that pressing the button downstairs won't cause the ring tone downstairs. You can tell if someone is faking it.

At the Q&A, I asked him how difficult it'd be to, on the exterior side, install e.g. a Pi Zero that randomly calls the phones and plays Rick Astley.
