I think this project deserves a revisit, as it turns out that simple linear current regulation was the right way to go.

2022-05-13 09:28:48 +0000 UTCI love these types of reviews of old projects by people who did them in the past. I myself recently revisited a fridge door alarm I made around 2010. I was pleasantly surprised it still worked after I replaced the corroded power switch. If done again, I would do them differently these days for sure! Still, not bad since it lasted 2 years in service and 10 years in a damp shed and is now back in service.
