Fake power saver revisit

I've made lots of videos about these units. Mainly so that YouTube keeps putting them out there to try and stop people being scammed.
This one has a very nice case, which is a shame as it's hobbled by the completely non compliant earth pin, which could cause damage to some sockets.

Normally I try not to promote other YT'bers but I couldn't let this one go.
Matthias Wandel (Wood worker) made a video about this type of power sawing device on his alternative channel "Matthias random stuff". He actually made a hack so it does save energy/power.
If interested look up: "I bought a scam energy saver and made it actually save energy". It's a 3 minutes video in typical Matthias style and well worth a look.

I love the bit where BigClive, when removing the Hopi, says "I'll just get rid of these" followed by the sound of them landing on a pile of 'junk' out of shot. Just like my old bench. (not that my bench is now tidy, I just dont have a bench anymore)

Just started watching and you mentioned scammers using your vids. If you watermarked the video with "fake device" or "scam" or something that might help stop them from doing that but if a watermark is too easy to remove (no idea!) then just write the same thing on your hands, which are always in the shot ...

Clive, I think this should answer your survey about crocodile vs alligator clips. Feel free to use it - it came from the facebutt group vintage test equipment. https://rustybolt.info/wordpress/?p=18500

Clive is going to need a disguised ebay account or these sellers will stop selling to him.

Yes, it does say 28000W - that would be around 100A - very spicy!

Yea. I guess there is a market for these. People wanting desperately to save money and being duped.
Bad karma due to those that make and sell these.

To be fair, if the thing goes on fire and burns down your house, it will save you power. No house, no electricity consumed. Maybe cancel the direct debit to the electricity supplier as you contemplate the smouldering remains of your home, no point in paying their standing charge. π
Who buys these things? Clearly there's a market for this quackery. Has anybody out there seen one of these products in the wild? π€

I guess the Iron Man look is still in. I like the 28kW rating on the label too.
