It's one of those things that it might be worth buying one just in case you have a suitable tube in the future.

2024-04-22 04:35:38 +0000 UTCTo protect your precious neon tube, why don't you 3D print a couple of fittings and add some soft wires. That will take the strain of the feed-through wires on the tube. They tend to be quite brittle, and when they do break (and they will in time) it's quite often just where the wire is fed through the glass, making it impossible to attach a new wire. If I remember right, the feed-through wires are difficult (impossible?) to solder.
