A look at a well designed outdoor enclosure

I've always been impressed by the Wagobox products. I believe they were originally designed by an electrician who wanted to create a logical enclosure for the new Wago connectors.
They have been very successful here in the UK, as they make wiring very fast and neat.

Regarding the ""...water will get in there by nefarious means""... I'm a low voltage wire guy, not a sparky, but I've seen far too many messes hidden away where wiring goes. With the telecomm outside plant, I firmly believe in the solutions that the Telco techs use. They use the IDC - insulation displacement connectors that are silicone gel filled. Then they have a bag of liquid resin and they open the bag, squirt the catalyst in and squeeze the bad to stir it up. Then they plunge the whole two spliced cables with their connectors into the resin and a few minutes later it's a permanent, solid, watertight mass. No one ever fiddles with it again - they'll have to cut it off. Thanks, Clive
