Everlasting pencil

And now for something completely different.  I couldn't resist adding these to a temu order (not a sponsor) to see how well they worked.

The results are "pastel", but better than expected, and may find artistic use.

It was definitely a much better result than the really crap probe multimeter I got in the same order.

I prefer these Chinese pencils that use a 2mm lead. You simply get the 2mm leads of the hardness you prefer. I commonly use 2B, but if you want really bold lines, I use 8B, but the higher in B number you go, the softer the lead and bolder the line, but the higher B number you go the easier it is to snap the lead as you write. If you want a lighter shade of line, use H numbered leads. If you want a high quality mechanical pencil, Steadtler do very nice affordable ones and also do the sharpener for the pencils too. It's like a plastic holder for a crayon.
