Voice controlled light (no network required)
Added 2024-06-02 05:42:29 +0000 UTCAs demonstrated on the recent live stream, this is a cheap USB powered light that responds to voice commands. It's even got a dimming feature that isn't documented in the instructions.
I tried many other random commands including "strobe the light", "flash the light" and "SOS", but didn't find any more easter eggs.

Very cool and thanks Big Clive! I paused the video to check the usual suspects and it would seem this is offered by Ali, Temu, Amazon and EBay - inexpensively. Pretty neat too that somehow it understands these commands so redily. On one of the sites, you could choose between English and Chinese versions.

2024-06-03 22:28:56 +0000 UTCThis is the ONLY kind of voice-activated product that I would ever use...I refuse to have internet connected "smart" things in my home...if it can't be used offline...it's not here. I did check and this item shows up as "Gazechimp" 16LED on the Walmart website for $6USD...a different one "YangBiYing12" 24LED was listed on clearance for $10USD as well. By putting the word 'chip' in front of the identification number there were several variations of this controller listed on the Alibaba website but I didn't drill-down on what each did.
