Inside a Sainsbury's dimmable LED bulb

First video from the current work accommodation. It's not got an ideal location for making videos.

The room is literally designed tightly around the bare minimum space for a bed, en-suite cube and a shaped bench with just enough room to get a seat at it.

The building also has a grass roof and is swelteringly hot inside even with the window opened to its small maximum limit, and the grass roof also makes a perfect place for seagulls to roost, and aside from the constant screaming of their hungry baby-gulls they spend a lot of time crapping down every window of the building, and making loud cacophonic squawking noises at night.

Add a busy train line where loud diesel trains sometimes pause with their engine running at full blast, and the only way to get sleep is with ear plugs!

Tommy Robinson, is that you? Muppet!

Fuck Lord Sainsbury, with the biggest dlido ever made( I suggest checking out the statues on the Greke Isle of Lesbos in that search) I'd encourage all people in the UK to only shop at their locally owned shops. The 2 tiered policing, migrant crisis, as well as the official coverup of the later has even made me consider it I'm still willing to send my $2.02($2 to Clive, plus a Visa 10% international fee) every month to someone in a society that's failed to defend it's homeland against invasion, and is now close to becoming an islamic nation. The lack of response from the King is massively; disturbing, as he retains the right to disband any gov't in the empire, and Keir Starmer's reign so far has lead, in under a month, to as nation on the verge of civil war.

with that review I hope there is a new Big Clive Trip Advisor series coming :)

The accommodation is usually at the same place as the rest of the cast. We actually thought this was going to be an upgrade, but have ended up preferring the old place. I think the main issue here is that they have tried to squeeze an en-suite shower and toilet cube into a standard room. I've a horrible feeling this may represent the accommodation of the future for many working people.

Big Clive

I see the corporate greed has made it to your accommodations. It's exactly what you said. The entertainment industry uses you and abuses you. I worked on two film productions as a production assistant and left the industry and never looked back.

Hey Clive, you should look into GE's 3-way LED HD Relax bulbs. To someone (like you) who know how 3-way lamps are wired and how traditional 3-way incandescent bulbs are configured, the GE bulbs seem to defy explanation. 3-way lighting fixtures have two hot contacts in the socket that, from the first click of the four position switch energize one contact, illuminating a dim filament in the 3-way bulb for a dim output. On the second click of the switch, the first contact deenergizes and the second one energizes, turning off the dim filament and turning on a brighter filament for a medium light output. On the third click, both contacts are energized lighting both the dim and medium filaments, adding the light output of both filaments together for the brightest illumination. This results in: Off, Dim, Medium, Bright", then back to off. But that's not what you get from the GE Relax HD 3-way LED bulbs. They go from: Off, Medium, Bright, Dim, then back to off. I can hear people thinking "So what??? 🤨" Well, think about it... How can energizing BOTH contacts result in the lowest light output?!? 😳 At first I thought my bulb must be defective so I tried the other bulb from the two pack. It did the same thing. That night, before I went to sleep, the genius of this scheme revealed itself!!! The old type bulbs weren't the best for getting peacefully to sleep. To go from a relaxing dim room lighting to off you had to cycle through progressively brighter light outputs. That brightest light just before plunging the room into darkness was jarring and eye dazzling. Not a good way to lull yourself to sleep. The GE bulb allows for waking to a reasonably dim Medium setting when you first turn on the light, allowing your eyes to adjust before increasing to the brightest setting if you desire. When you return to bed in the evening you could have to bright light to get dressed (or undressed) for bed, then click the light to Dim as you set your alarm, plug in your phone/watch/etc. and maybe do a bit of reading to relax. As the drowsiness sets in and you can barely hold your eyes open, you can go straight from Dim to Off, without seeing stars and after-images on your retinas. The GE engineers designed a way to use the contacts as signals to a micro-processor. Three positions of the 4-way switch provide power, but the chip reads the contacts and outputs Medium, then Bright, then Dim. That's BRILLIANT!!! (no pun intended) 😃🥱😴🛌

You have my sympathies. There are baby gulls here right now with their endless "peet peet" stuff so annoying even their parents wander off. Which is natural. They're meant to FO and eat kebabs from bins innit?

I think Mr Saisbury has watched your videos, and said" Let's make this dimmable Bulb, Big Clive proof" and failed miserably...

Mike Hughes

Reminds me of Snoozebox or Z Hotels when you describe the size.

Ulf Axelsson

Sounds a delightful accomodation !!!

Simon Midgley

Eventually then will engineer a BigClive proof bulb.
