Far too much lighting!

Big Clive

Wow, Clive, that's a lot of lighting!

You have to move with the times. If you don't evolve, the younger generation will no longer attend these shows.

Big Clive

While the show is spectacular I fail to see what a lot of these shows have to do with a Military Tattoo . . .I understand that they have to broaden appeal . . . but at some point you end up so far removed from the roots of the tattoo that you are left holding Trigger's broom . . .

Bill Donnelly

It's projection from a large number of tiled and overlaid projectors.

Big Clive

The show has to pander to a wide range of musical styles. The Indian section starts off a bit traditional and then gets more and more full bodied as it goes on.

Big Clive

The music is not my cup of tea

Richard

Was the "taj mahal" look done with projection? Or are there practical lights on the surface of the castle?

Jack Hodgson

Some strong gobo work.

Michael Brenkley

We had to refill the machines every single day when they were doing the overnight programming. Fortunately the machines are quite economic on the glycerin based fluid.

Big Clive

Yeah. It's gone very much in the direction of Disneyesque family entertainment. Wait until you see Highland Rave...

Big Clive

Things have changed a lot since the kilts, cabers, and cannons days, when I was taken to the show many decades ago.

AlfaGuy

Thats a lot of haze fluid.
