Some of the instruments are being genuinely played, and some are for visual effect. The other instrumental components may be coming from our hidden live band in the moat of the castle.

Before the show we have them clipped onto the arena along the sides until the audience is in, and then we move them so they are freestanding. They are used as part of the stage lighting during the show up to the Highland rave section when they are used and then brought in by the dancers. We only had a few fall over on an extremely windy night. The dancers promptly stood them up again without missing a beat. These tubes were bought for our own stock on the show and we have been discussing adding a bumper to the top to protect them if they get blown over.
