Another bulb - but an interesting one

I added this to an aliexpress order just for the novelty value, but it's actually quite neat.

The housing is made from two parts that clip and glue together around a flexible filament with 200 LEDs. The power supply uses a different chip I haven't come across before.

The minimum LED voltage is FAR too high (275-300V) for it to be usable on 120V (it won't light) so it clearly designed exclusively for 220-240V as the item listing say. Small (E14) and medium (E27) Edison sockets are THE standard light bulb fitting in pretty much all 230V countries other than the UK AFAIK (it's not just the sockets that are, well, different).

There is an 8pin datasheet available for the PTI6912C on JLCPCB, but it's in Chinese. https://wmsc.lcsc.com/wmsc/upload/file/pdf/v2/lcsc/2004032236_PTC-Princeton-Tech-PT6912_C481972.pdf

Of course, small Edison bases are used in North America, and we have 120 volts. So perhaps it was designed for that market, which would run a lot cooler!

You never use a hammer, that is very disappointing.
