Added 2024-09-18 19:40:04 +0000 UTCThis video was one I made as a welcome break from another video that has a really arduous bit of reverse engineering. Very weird circuitry that gradually releases clues to the products operation as you get deeper into the schematic.
This one on the other hand was very easy to reverse engineer, but has some oddities.

I should dig out a receiver and check the codes. It's definitely transmitting. I can see the pulses on an IR camera.

2024-09-19 05:00:45 +0000 UTCWait, those are IR remotes - I don't think I ever dumped the codes for those, but I do know they work with pretty much every light. Which is kinda annoying when they're near each other and you're trying to set them to different colors.

2024-09-19 04:58:11 +0000 UTCVery odd about the remotes not being compatible. Every single LED lamp/flood/strip that I own that uses that remote style are all cross compatible. I actually dumped the codes with the help of an Arduino one time to confirm that. Are you sure the battery wasn't dead in the other remote?

The stores around here recently finished selling off their summer stuff on clearance, and now they have all the halloween stuff fully stocked.
