RF cloning button

It's a little button you can copy an existing remote's code with, for an extra controller. (but not a code hopping remote.)

The circuitry is clever, but also a bit weird. The receiving circuitry is astonishingly minimal.

This button uses a microcontroller which appears to be a direct clone of a PIC microcontroller with a very similar instruction set with slightly different letter combinations.

And microwave electronics? The blackest of the black arts in analog electronics, as CuriousMarc once said.

Could be handy for adding additional remotes as sometimes they can be a pig to relearn to the modules.

It is.

Is that for generic 433mhz?

They look like dynamic voltage regulators. We used to occasionally install them for vintage computer systems.

I tested from one end of the house to the other (not a direct line of sight) and they both operated the light.

Could you please test the range of the two buttons Clive? It’d be interesting to how much of a difference there is between them… (Great find by the way.)
