New LED filaments with all circuitry on board

I've come across the low power LED bulbs with a resistor in the base and a rectifier/LED filament. But this is the first time I've seen them integrate ALL the circuitry on very small filaments so they can literally be used in exactly the same machines that make the tungsten bulbs.

They've even used a sensible number of LEDs to make the efficiency high and reduce the dissipation from the current limiting circuitry.

I got the bulbs from this listing:-

They have a choice of colours and voltages.

Oh, I realize now that I was talking about the resistors you used to just make the LED barely glow. Anyhow. Just watched your latest Twitch stream. Congrats on the weight loss. Atkinson diet (or what ever similar diet) can be a little difficult on the liver however I have a friend who had great results there as well. I went from 260 Lbs (18 stones?) down to around 208 now. That's due to this Amazon Delivery job I've had. Fairly physical. I'm 6'6" (198 cm) I totally hear you about being able to bend over and walking etc. Such a difference. At 63 years old, every little bit helps.

They behave as a very simple resistive load, albeit that they only conduct for the upper part of the sinewave. So some dimmers should work OK with enough of them as a load, but the dimming curve might be weird.

Ah. I misunderstood. Thanks Big Clive. Quick question, I ordered some of these and the listing states Dimmer Support. What do you think?

Dave Frederick AKA @amorphuc

They're 8.2K resistors. Two in series.

Tappy Tap Tap. Thanks AVE. I didn't see the "X-Ray Deluxe" engraving before. LOL Thanks Big Clive. These are kind of amazing and very cool. Wow! 820K resistors get the filaments to just glow. That has to be some fairly low wattage. Kind of cool to be able to produce these without retooling which I would suppose was the idea there. I think it would be fun to tour some of these factories. Darn. I just had to order a bunch of these. How cool for the front of my house! Thank you.

Ah, the Hammer of Knowledge finally makes an appearance!

Sensible! Now there is a word I wasn't expecting from a BigClive review...
