Fizzy wine stream about to start

Bridge the start button on the PCB to see if the switch itself is corroded internally. The tactile switches are notorious for failing in an unresponsive way. Also check for continuity between the connector and the buttons in case tracks have corroded right through, as sometimes it's a tiny gap that is not visible. Although the button panel operates at low voltage, you should still treat it as if it is at full mains voltage, as some systems don't isolate the low voltage from the high voltage. Wear suitable gloves, as water and electricity can result in a more significant shock.

2024-10-17 22:36:02 +0000 UTCThe second machine just powers on and flashes the power light, no movement. If i pull on the mechanism it will do a full travel and then return to just sitting there. Compressor doesn't start and no water pumped. There was some rust on the PCB for the buttons but I don't think that's the issue. I will try shorting the ice full sensor.

2024-10-17 00:01:46 +0000 UTCI was just going to mention that. The end of travel switch was going to be the prime suspect for that fault. Very standard and cheap switch. Remember to let the refrigerant system settle for about half an hour after the machine has been on its side or upside down, to avoid liquid refrigerant getting into the compressor.

2024-10-16 18:18:45 +0000 UTCThe first one arrived, its a Costway branded unit. It powers up, the moving reservoir moves and as it comes to the top of the travel it seems to bind on the left and twists slightly. No water gets transferred to the top reservoir. I'll strip it down later and see if the pump works and if there are any blockages. Also if that misalignment can be improved.
