eBay 9.9 million lumen solar light

Not just exaggerated ratings, but also photoshopped images to make the light look absolutely massive.
Needless to say it performs somewhat lower than the listings tend to indicate. Fun to take apart though, and useful for the LED COBs and hacking into something more useful.

Thanks Big Clive. I guess the bazillion lumen rating is because they have a little ant sitting on top of the thing giving a thumbs up or something. Or, maybe they ask a 4 year old how bright they think it is. LOL
Also, I wonder if they listed the battery rating as 65,000 mAh. 224 mAh? Wow, your basic disposable "cartridge" found in the street is better than that usually. Jeeze.
Years and years ago, I got sucked into buying some 18650s that claimed to be 9000 mAh. Ha. They were only slightly better than the one in your light.

Hmmm, yummy, so many lumens. :-)
Given that the most efficient leds can produce about 300 lumens per watt... 9900000/300=33000. This device must contain a whopper of a battery to be able to deliver 33kW... rotflol Chinese lumens :-)

I wonder if the "LM" in "8000LM" is just a clumsy abbreviation for "Lumen". With the added benefit of allowing them to claim the huge lumen count that you tell us about.

Oh you just have to love those super mega ultra bright lights that are so overly exaggerated on their brightness.
