(electronic) cook books are a bit like that are they not?

what your saying makes sense - stack overflow sort of like that with people saying "I am trying to write a program to do x, and this is the code I wrote"

Hi Clive, I've had a fairly good idea that no one seems to have done before. I don't have the means, knowledge, patience or time to do anything with it an I think it's too good to waste or sit on. When anyone does electronic (or anything really) experimentation and whatever you are trying to do doesn't work or does something that you dont want, you generally put it down to a mistake and move on. The idea is to create some sort of database or website where everyone can post their "mistakes", so people both dont waste their time by trying to do something that has already been tried before and "failed" or come up with some other result. Or can use the information in creative ways. Like you could type in you want to try to do X with A B and C and it could come up with all the past ways that have been done and failed, saving time so you can try a new approach. Or the site could be coded in a way that you could enter in that you have got A B and C and this is all the things that people have already done with A B and C and their results. I hope you can get the guist of what I am trying to get at. My brain/word "interface" is kinda shite. Maybe you could air the idea on the livestream or know of someone who could do something with it or even develop the idea further. All that I ask is that if anyone does go on to make some coin out of it, that it goes back into the common good. The time for fat cats getting fatter is over and I'd rather see a benefit for everyone.
