Percussive body massager

Although I'm sure this will be very good for massaging aches and pains, I think we can all guess what these devices tend to get used for. Nothing has changed since the Victorian era other than the portability and force.
This is a very popular style that is sold online and in high street shops. It uses a reciprocating cam to deliver significant force, directly driven by a fairly large motor.

Only an engineer would recognise that 24V power tool batteries are a thing and that such a Frankenstein contraption was possible, and that’s why we love it here! Mind you, driving that cam with an actual power tool is also possible, but might require something a bit stronger than PLA.

I wonder if they do versions that take powertool batteries.

They've been optimised a lot in the four years since I got mine. For comparison, mine's a lot chunkier, two linear LED bars instead of 7-segment, and only one button. The battery is the handle (removable, DC 25.2V charge input, 23V output). And yes, I do use mine for neck/shoulder massages. Its pretty effective.

To be fair, I think this type of massager is the one type that primarily gets purchased for actual deep tissue massage
