2025-02-23 16:45:20 +0000 UTCI tried Goggles4U and just got a set of reading glasses made to see how well it worked out. It took ages, and then when they arrived, one lens was correct and one was wildly wrong. That kinda put me off using them.

2025-02-23 16:43:10 +0000 UTCClive - as a late 40 something that is being forced into discovering glasses, I’ve been using goggles4u to make custom prescriptions via the “send prescription later” option. My intermediate prescription is +100 which should be good at arms length, and I had some made at +75 which are perfect for day to day work at the workbench and at the day job battle station desk. I use reading glasses with no coatings for fine work and distance for driving. Since they always have stackable codes, most pairs were between 12 and 33 quid using the new38 38% code. (£20 metal frames, £27 for RI1.67 lenses, and £8 for coatings. -38%) They take 2 weeks to deliver and I’ve had no issues using the warranty once. Because of point of focus ordering varifocals online is a recipe for disaster IMHO. Thanks again for all you do! Have fun!

2025-02-23 08:04:57 +0000 UTCTwitch trick - join the live chat before the stream starts and the stream should start automatically. You’ll still need to unmute, which is probably better than getting an earful like YouTube used to do.
