I found a fake WiFi repeater

Another delightful bit of scammery from eBay and their rogue sellers. It's a unit that looks like a classic USB WiFi repeater, and it even costs the same. But it's completely fake.

Just wild. Thanks Big Clive. I've gotten a couple PTZ cameras off of Ali that have fake antennas on them but they still work pretty well with the little stick on antennas inside. I actually wired an actual 2.4 GHz antenna onto one of them and the performance really wasn't much better. Oh Well.
Pretty good resolution actually but the app software is annoying with spam and interruptions to buy cloud service. I think they were like $8.00 each so there's that.

I saw it on a couple before, but can't remember which (I binged a few lately :3) and this one. I gotta say none of the generated voices are as nice as yours :p

I've tried it for a few videos, but then stopped as going through the auto generated captions word by word was very time consuming.
It was only applying the setting to videos uploaded from the Chromebook. If it's doing it on the other uploads I'll have to look into it.

Oh that's a naughty product.
Oh, also Clive, I've noticed that your videos have that auto-translate voiceover thing turned on. I can't speak to it's accuracy, though I've heard from many it's not, and can end up affecting people wanting to watch your English content when their primary language is set to German for example, well they'll get the German auto translate version even though they understand and want English for example... Either way, just letting you know. <3

You can re-sell it as a protective device against the harmful radiation from airborne dihydrogen monoxide.

It's quite possible that they saw 200 on the resistor and imediately assumed it was 200ohms and said F-it that'll do.
